Is Toshiba sd210e multi Region???

Hello everyone, well my dad bought a Toshiba DVD Sd210E player for christmas. And well what can I say it is ACE!!! it plays everything that i throw at it, inc Mp3's, audio, cd/r, VCD, S-VCD, DVD+R and DVD R. Well It really is FANTASTIC. But I need it to be a multi region and as i have found out it is R2 and there is no Known cure (dont like using 'Hack'), but I went on a web site and the author uses the same Toshiba dvd and he says "On the box it states that it is R2, but actually is multi Region" so is that true?

PS as far as i know it is legal to make them multi Region and i dont want Macrovision removed, and i dont want it chipping!

Thank you, Matthew

No, an off the shelf one wouldn't be multi-region, Toshiba are very very good friends with (in a corporate sense) Warner Brothers, so support region coding whole-heartedly.

Somewhere like Upgrade Heaven or Techtronics would be able to sell you a player that had been "chipped" to play discs from any region, complete with a guarantee, and totally legally. They can also chip existing players, again totally legally, although depending on the player this *may* invalidate the warantee.
