Can't see a thread about this. Who's having chips tonight then? Not me, rarely have them, prefer a nice jacket spud tbh.

We actually have a national chip week?

What a pointless and random thing.

Yes just been laughing at someone fuming on another forum, saying it's unhealthy and demanding a National jacket potato week..

I may have a bag later in the week. They give you too many for one person though.

Is this not something which belongs in "Food and Drink"?

I do enjoy chips as part of a well balanced diet

I wish I could, but I'm still repenting after the fatty (and delicious) burger I had on Friday.

I love fried chips but am frowned upon by all and sundry when I admit that I actually DO deep fry my chips and do not bake them in the oven. Tough titty, life is for living not for worrying about every little health issue

Chips are great and are potatoes and not bad for you, regardless what folks say. Love chips.

Does anyone do twice fried chips? They are so much better than once fried chips.

Not for me. A rare occurence. I've only been to my local chippy once (and was sadly disappointed, I like mine crispy on the outside, with fluffy interiors). I don't do at home, because of all the oil. I'm thinking about getting an Actifry to combat this. Would happily do then.
