Each to their own I suppose.
I'd have liked to see them give things a go with someone like Chris Cornell.
That could be quite good. Of course it could also be a disaster.

Queen died for me in 1991.....Forget these guest lead singers George Michael ,Paul Rodgers and now Adam Lambert .... Freddie is dead and so is Queen.

I don't think he will Diza ...... he's always said that his own music is something separate from what he does with Queen and I don't think he'll want to take any emphasis off this being about Queen and not him .... at the EMA performance he made a point of not wanting his name announced prior or after the performance on the night so as to make it about Queen and not wanting to be seen as a repacement for Freddie .... contrary to what a lot of people think about him it seems he's not all about himself and sees these opportunities with Queen as a great honour and seeing as Freddie is one of his idols he would be daft to turn it down.

plus both Muse and Justin Hawkins gave him one of their songs to record on his first album ... add to that the industry "big hitters" who have also collaborated with him or given him songs (Gaga, Pink, Sam Sparro, Bruno Mars) all seem to hold him in high regard ..... also the legendary Niles Rodgers jumped at the chance to work with him on his new album and never stops tweeting about how talented he is and what a lovely bloke he is to work with

I appreciate that he's not everyone's cup of tea ..... and as a fan of Freddie's and Queen there is no way he could replace Freddie, but he does seem to have the respect of a lot of people in the industry

He may be too pop, cheesy, flamboyant for some but I think some of his "rock" covers have been pretty good

The only thing he has going for him is 80s hair metal high notes, put him against some of those who maybe at Sonisphere on other stages, he'd pale in comparison.

To be honest I don't take any of your threads started about Adam serieously as you seem to like to start threads bashing him and his fans (whilst at the same time saying that you "like" him)

pretending to "like" someone to cover up the real motive of starting the threads is rather transparent when it follows a pattern .. especially when you actually invent a story like you did about the fans tweeting Amelia, just to fit your agenda

I can't say I am overly excited about Kiss and Queen at Soni this year, but love Faith No More. I still bought my ticket this morning, as I find Soni as an overall festival to be great. I normally love the other bands more than the headliners anyway. My favourite was seeing Therapy? perform the whole of Troublegum in 2010. My husband went back to the tent as he is not a big fan of mosh pits and I went straight to the front. By the time I got back, I was a sweaty mess with hardly any voice but was on such a big buzz I couldn't sleep for hours.
I do think personally that Download has the better line up this year. But I like both festivals for different reasons so will go to both. Waiting to see what Reading announce next month. I have a feeling they may have Foo Fighters, Green Day and Rancid (not as headliner) and if they do, I guess I will be doing Reading again this year. I will only go to Reading if it has bands I really, really want to see, as I find the general crowd a bit annoying, guess I am getting old. Saying that I met a great bunch of people in the punk tent for The Descendents last year and that rounded off the festival nicely for me. Left Muse to see them, as I hate to say it but Muse were boring the pants off me.
