I was just thinking about The Brits, and the thought of One Direction winning over Adele came over me.

I mean, not even in one aspect is 'What makes you beautiful', up to the standard of the classic 'Someone Like You'.

Don't get me wrong, I have NOTHING against One Direction (Check my previous posts), but no way do they deserve to win over Adele.

Adele sang 'Someone Like You' at The Brits, the performance that changed her life in the UK. Would it be right for One Direction to win? It just doesn't sit right with me.

I can't even comprehend it. To me, it would be an insult to the credibility of The Brits.

It's all to the down to the public! If they do win, it's hardly their fault is it?

And how will the Brits loose credibility? Adele WILL at least one award, she's up for three.

I don't think it really matters

Adele has eight grammys on a shelf somewhere, something One direction will never ever ever have. Plus a fifteen million and counting album.

As years have gone on, The brits have become slightly irrelevent. It's just something nice to watch for a few hours once a year.

The Brit Awards lost their credibility years ago.

Allowing awards to be fan voted is just asking for trouble.

Its just not right. One Direction are creating multiple accounts to vote.

Yeah, I get it now. They don't have any credibility anyway...

Best Group and Breakthrough are also voted for by the public I believe.

Are you forgetting there are other boybands nominated?
There might be a split of votes, I think it's going to be close.

2011 was Adele's year and, amazingly, looks like 2012 will also be her year. No matter how many fans vote Wand Erection as best single, lol, she's going to be the biggest selling album artist for 2 years running something I believe only MJ with Thriller achieved.

Does it really matter? Awards don't mean anything at the end of day other than some short term publicity.

There are some brilliant British artists who don't have any Brit Awards but Robbie Williams has 17 of the feckers (more than twice as many as anyone else). Now remind me again why I'm supposed to care?

Because you made a post in this thread? Someone who really didn't care would simply ignore the thread, lol.

PS Plus the dead giveaway is you know how many Brits Willams has. I don't.

^ lol exactly, Robbie to me is just a glorified pub singer at best, there are so many wonderful British acts that have 0 or only a few, I don't care about the Brits to put it shortly. lol :P

If you REALLY didn't care you wouldn't feel the need to actually tell people you didn't care, lol.

Adele and her team already know the song is great because they have won Grammys for it. One Direction will simply know that their fans are tech saavy and have too much time to dedicate to them.

Example tweeted this...'Regardless of who wins at the Brits just remember the most important thing is a loyal fanbase. Awards are there to make the mums proud'.

I agree with you completely. We have too many sh!tty fan voted award shows. They are on every other week here in the states. And they have no credibility at all outside of the batsh!t crazy fans they pander too.
I thought the Brit Awards were on Grammy caliber, where no f*ing stan can vote. But they are just another VMAs.

1 Direction winning over SLY? That's embarrassing.
My young daughter plays their song over and over and it sucks balls!
At least make it a worthy song. Geez...

I think Ed Sheeran could be the dark horse in the Singles catergory. I don't think it's as clear cut as everyone is making out.
