I really want to like Nicki Minaj but I think her songs are appallingly bad.

I generally like Adele but the way she sings the word "you" on SLY in the chorus sounds ear-splittingly awful to me and almost ruins the song.

I don't think Rebecca Black's Friday is as horrific as made out to be.

whilst i'm not a big fan of the darkness as a band i think their singer justin hawkins has one of the best voices around!

Still, not as bad as the idiots that keep starting "what's your favourite song?" threads as if no-one on this forum has ever asked that question before. Duh.

Ok here are some of mine:

I think Coldplay are a very overrated band. Their songs are slow and boring and Chris Martin is a terrible singer.

I detest boybands. In rock bands, the first talent is singing and the second talent is playing an instrument. In boybands, the first talent is singing and the second talent is being so "fit" that there will be saliva drooling out of every girl's mouth in the country. I wonder if they weren't so "fit" would they have as many fans?

I don't really care much for Led Zeppelin. I've listened to their first two albums and nothing has really grabbed me.

due to her massive amount of fans I dont think we're gonna get rid of her for a while.

What I especially loathe about her is her pretentiousness. This combined with an over inflated opinion of her song writing talents (her last album wasnt up to much song writing wise)

Her videos and pronouncements are just pretentious in an embarrassing, 6th former kinda way. Shes not actually "deep" at all. She spouts the kinda things many people have been saying for decades, yet her fans hang on every word asif shes some great innovator.

I guess that in many cases this is cos theyre very young and arent aware of the contributions of others. This doesnt excuse her older fans though (the over 25's)

I too, thought that Rebecca Blacks FRiday wasnt as horrendous as people made out. Perfectly acceptable tacky bubble gum crap pop song IMO, no worse than a lot of stuff in the charts.

Lana del Ray and Christina Perri are just dirgy and dull

Florence Welsh sings like a cat being tortured, I just want to turn off the music whenever I hear her, dont get the appeal AT ALL!
