British period dramas are sooo boring and we do not need 100 different ways to adapt a Jane Austen book.

Star Wars is drivel.

I am a single woman but that doent mean i adore Bridget Jones Diary - its crap.

The first Transformers film is brilliant.

I kinda think thats part of the essence of the film though..... hes obviously a spoilt little shite, but I guess you're supposed to respect his charm and guile. Hes brighter than everyone around him and therefore can take the piss.

Maybe it was an 80's thing?

In spite of his obvious smugness etc I was still rooting for him...

Inception is indulgent rubbish.

The Hangover franchise isn't THAT funny.

Heath Ledger was good but not amazing as the Joker.

It's totally unconvincing, and despite being aggressively marketed as the biggest advance in special effects ever it is a very poor substitute for the physical effects technicians used to toil over creating.

Agree - watching wrath of the titans the other day made me long for the plasticine figures in old movies like Jason And the Argonauts. We saw the Pirates movie the other week and the characters really came to life.

Back on topic - I really liked The Holiday

Heath Ledger was great as The Joker but I agree that Gary Oldman was shamefully overlooked for his performance. He would have been my pick for Best Supporting Actor. But Heath's untimely and sad death led to other great performances in TDK in getting overlooked due to people jumping on the 'Let's praise Ledger because he's dead' bandwagon.

I think the Hangover is the most overrated 'comedy' of the last decade.

Audrey Hepburn was a one-dimensional actress with an annoying voice. Breakfast at Tiffany's is a poor adaptation of a good book, and should have starred Marilyn Monroe (as Truman Capote wanted).

There are only two funny scenes in Withnail and I. Actually, only two funny lines.

I found Silence of the Lambs dull. Tried to get into it when it was released but nope. Ditto when I rewatched it a couple of years ago. My intense dislike of that Welsh ham may have something to do with it.

Kubrick's The Shining didn't work for me at all. Some parts were draggy. Both Shelley Duvall and Jack Nicholson competed in who could chew the scenery most. The Danny parts were the only interesting bits.

It's a Wonderful Life -- a depressing film. It's Hotel California for people of the 1940s. You can enter but you can't ever leave.
