Surely she deserved her moment on stage to collect her Brit award and say thank you to a few people. That was really out of order to just quickly flash one of her videos. Especially when a whole 11 minutes are being given to Blur later. Not happy!

That might be cause Blur have done something to merit an award rather than just going to Brits school.

She didn't go to Brits School or use a talent podium like X Factor to get to where she is today... She did it through sheer hard graft and coming from the same area as Emeli, to come from a small place in Aberdeenshire and achieve what she has done is a super achievement... to ignore her like that was a disgrace...

Clearly, if you're controversial, Adele, or some X Factor runner up, the Brit Awards panel obviously don't care.

I found it so bizzare. Instead of talking to Emeli about winning, we go to Jessie J and talk to her about Emeli winning.

So basically it is the award where the Brits tell the nation who they will like for the forthcoming year.
That would be worth eating into the Lifetime Achievement award for.

Yeah i'm almost positive Jessie went on stage to collect hers last year because I remember her being on stage in a green outfit thing! It's a bit mad, this brit awards hasn't really gave me a buzz at all. Like all the people who have won so far I don't know I feel like it's just all rehearsed and they're just like "thank you to the fans thanks" and no actual emotion it just feels crap!

But people dont have to buy the record. If it was crap, then they wouldn't.

Emeli has been in the UK chart since 2009 anyway, so the nation already like her, without having been "told" to.

No, she doesn't play the guitar. But she's a good singer, a good song-writer, and she has nice songs.


Neither the BRITs nor the MOBOs have anything to do with race. It was probably a different reason Emeli was ignored for Jessie.

Have you heard the album yet Yes the leading singles are OKish - the rest of the album is pretty dire.Good voice though - pity the producers squeezed the life out of the majority of her new album.
So yes people do buy crap - there's loads of examples of poor albums selling well on the back of leading singles.Heard of filler.The internet has supposed to have stopped albums with loads of filler selling well these days - apparently not it seems.

I've got to say I was actually miffed about that, Emeli deserved a televised speech for winning the Critics choice award.. not impressed about that!
