Yeah I do find the fact that Emili was ignored in this way, and yet apart from a few complaints, there is no big fuss.
And I agree with the poster above E, is far more talented than Jessie J (aka Siobhan Fahey of Shakespeare's Sister lookalike)-clearly Emilie is not in with the in crowd or the people in the know.
There are other conclusions that I could draw but I will keep them to myself.

but Blur have had a significant impact on music for the past 20 years.. Emile Sande's just done a few songs which sound like anything else in the charts.. she could literally have been anyone

i have agreed with every winner of the award except this year my god Emeli bores me Jessi may have had a dire album but at least she isn't the human equivalent of night nurse

Had a look at last years critics choice awards on you tube, jessi j got about 2 minutes to collect her award and make an acceptance speech!
The critics choice is a stupidly premature award so I can't feel sorry for the girl I'm afraid. I would find it embarrassing to get an award for being promising, before I'd even released an album and proven myself or achieved anything as an artist. I can't believe any of the winners of that award truly believed they deserved to get a Brit Award already.
