It was uncomfortable to watch and ITV should have either let the show overrun or plan the show so that it would run short and then use some filler if it was needed.
A few things that surprise me though are peoples reactions to James Corden and Blur.
For one, it's not James Corden's fault, he would have been told to cut her off by the producers and that would be his job, so you can't blame him for doing it. Blame the producers but not the presenter.
The other thing I don't get is some people bringing Blur into it and going on about Adele winning the biggest award of the night.
She didn't win the biggest award of the night, Blur did, unless of course Album of the Year is now more important than a Lifetime Achievement / Outstanding Contribution type award?
Album of the Year is of course a main award to get, but the LA award is something else, something Adele could collect in 20 years time.
The bottom line is, Adele and Blur should have been given appropriate time. Blur giving a long speech for an outstanding contribution award I can take, anyone giving a long speech with loads of thanks for Lifetime Achievement/Outstanding Contribution type awards I can take.
Blur getting an 11 minute set is fine by me.
Like them or not, they were huge (not moderately successful as someone said earlier). Seriously, I was at school when Blur and Oasis were at their peak and those two bands were massive with quite a rivalry going on.
To call them moderately successful is laughable.
Most artists never get one so it holds some level of prestige and for the artist is of course an honor.
I think Blur were cut short too, weren't they supposed to have an 11 minute set?
