Now other celebrities are jumping on the bandwagon.
But it's interesting that I'm not seeing these celebrities so outspoken about the treatment of Emeli Sandé.
If it was wrong to cut Adele short then shouldn't it be more wrong that they cut Emeli Sandé out altogether and spoke to Jessie J instead?
Or is it all about status and perceived privilege based on how famous you are?
If so then it's not really a moral stance based on real principles is it?
Are these celebs criticising what happened to Emeli Sandé?
Is Adele criticising what happened to Emeli Sandé?
No? Then perhaps it's time for them to STFU then as they haven't got a leg to stand on other than a self-serving sense of entitlement.
Adele has had all the tea and sympathy she could possibly need and I agreed that it was a poor show to cut her off when she had only just started speaking.
But the victim status doesn't wash with me anymore when there is hardly anybody speaking out in favour of Emeli Sandé.
If it's wrong for one then it's wrong for all.”
You've said everything I think.
It is true that Adele isn't directly quoted in this article, but she's allowed the situation to be milked all week, which may or may not be deliberate. She's been complicit to the milking of the situation and it wouldn't be at all hard for her to prove she is down to earth by reminding everyone that it really wasn't a big deal. No-one died. SHe got two awards, the chance to sing and a lot of applause.
