He should have had backing vocals. And Dance With My Tonight was a much bigger hit.

I hated his puny first single but although this is hardly heavyweight there is something catchy about it....good beat and catchy hook and chorus.....well produced.

The performance was a bit pitchy to start with but it was well staged and presented....Olly was ok not amateurish IMO.

Agreed. Nothing has and will ever change. And he wonders why he didn't get nommed for a best male award? You (olly) just showed us ALL why.

The performance wasn't that good, but the song itself is amazing. Thankfully I have the studio version on my mp3 player, not a live version.

I actually like Olly a lot....I thought he was ok on the X Factor, and I like his music. But that performance was bad.

I really like Olly, but I have to agree. The whole performance was totally sup-par by his standards (and I admit he's hardly a world-class entertainer at his best).

Totally agree. Totally average. Seemed rush. Not well thought out. Vocals sounded bad. He was just running all over the place...

Examples of great performances are Adele and Girls Aloud.

It conformed for me that 'instant / rapid / short cuts' to fame as a potential alternative to years of training, working the clubs and pubs and honing your talent is no credible alternative at all. He showed the country what is wrong with shows like the XF and BGT tonight...in my opinion. If you can't sing LIVE...and I mean properly LIVE...no backing vocals / pre-recorded backing tracks, you shouldn't do it at all...in my view.

I know two people who could have filled Olly's spot on The Brits. Joe McElderry would have been fine as he sings live all the time and has a great voice - also he has had an album in the charts at the relevant time.

The same can be said for Will Young! His album Echoes is still in the chart. It is ten years since he won Pop Idol and also he has never performed at The Brits despite staying at the top of his game all that time. Will puts on a great show and would have lifted the programme which, by all accounts, was dire!

I've seen Olly live a few times with JLS, and I'm going to see him in July, and usually he's pretty good! But that performance was really bad Made better by Rizzle Kicks though! They're amazing

Great performance. Just poor music. He isn't a good songwriter and he is an example of why some artists shouldn't be allowed to be in full control when it comes to songwriting.

Singing isn't his strong point is it. Nothing has changed since X Factor. Perhaps like others serious about their craft he should indulge in regular singing lessons.

Sounds as if all the tricks of the trade are being used to make him sound ok on tour.

Well, XF has nothing to do with it, the public and simon cowell do. You know there are many brilliant singers who lose out on XF and aren't put through over those who can sing. It's not what's wrong with the shows at ALL. You don't always need years of training, if you naturally have it, then it shows. If not, then we all find out.

He didn't have auto-tune what did you f'n EXPECT? Singers shouldn't have to sing in tune anymore innit. :S

I just disagree with the whole premise of the Cowell shows. It promotes a rapid rise to fame - supported and backed up by very little else - for very little 'real' work in return, in my view. It gives false hope to those taking part and provides a bad model (money for very little/no work) for the many children who watches his shows, which in my opinion, is a negative.
The 'Ollie episode' last night proves that the process is flawed. Years of hard graft and training can never be replaced by instant fame, in my view.

The only winner of the Cowell shows is Cowell himself.

I hate the way he goes "skip skip skip skip SKIP skip skip a beat", one 'skip' sang really weirdly.
