Blackberry - Internet not working on new sim
Hi all
I got a new Blackberry Bold 9900 last weekend and changed from Vodafone to Orange and kept the same number. Phone worked well throughout this changeover. I had really poor service with Orange so I therefore have cancelled my Orange contract and signed up for another Vodafone contract with a new number (all done above board with phone shop). However, some internet features will not work (e-mail, BBM) with the Vodafone sim in. I have tried to log into Blackberry ID but I keep getting error reports. I am assuming that all of my data is linked to the Orange sim and that needs to be de-activated first - which I presumed would be done when the contract was cancelled by the shop yesterday?? Am I missing something important? Any advice? Looking on Blackberry forums is sending me into a panic as I don't know phone jargon very well. A lot of people are saying to do a security wipe but on which sim should I do this?? I still have the Orange sim and everything seems to work with that one in but obviously I am now with Vodafone again so need to get this activated and working

If you resend your service books, it should update these for you. If you are unsure of how to do this, watch the video here. Although it is for a different model of BlackBerry, it's the same process. If that doesn't fix the issue, we may need to check that you have BlackBerry Internet Services correctly applied to your account. I will be happy to check this if you send me an email here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject. Please also include a link to your post and a contact number. Many thanks, Heidi Web Relations Team Vodafone UK |

Yeah I do Bagsbunny. It was a technical issue.
Thanks for the response Heidi. It was a problem with all new Vodafone contracts with Blackberry apparently. It seems to have started working again today. Annoying since it took so long to sort. Vodafone just kept telling me to battery pull and wait 24 hours which was from Tuesday |
