I'd forgotten all about them... I assumed with Unas pregnancy they wouldnt be able to do much for a while.
sorry but I think theyre a pretty medicore girlband - nothing wrong with the girls themselves but the songs and image just arent strong enough. Work was a good choon, it should have done much better than it did but im struggling to even remember any of their other releases

Well clearly it's all so exciting enough for you to take the time to open the topic, waste your own time and fingers typing out a response and reading through the thread, no? Why bother wasting your own time commenting if you're not interested in them? Make some sense.

Failing? 10 top 10 singles, 3 top 10 albums and over 3 million records sold doesn't really define 'failing' for me, but hey, each to their own.

No I genuinely find it exciting. I'm not a fan, so its fun to see their albums flop in a row! Its as if they're always on their last legs and and desperately keep trying and pushing themselves...

Sale's for their current album and last studio albums are horrendous....

cant wait!!

and can I just say, Una Healy is into her 9th month of pregnancy and is still shooting music videos. well done to her! she has enough money to be sat about at home, but she keeps on working. love her!
It's good alright Slightly off topic but Natasha from Atomic Kitten was pregnant when they filmed their Tide is High music video. Have a look for it on Youtube.

Blame Michael Jackson for dying

Why aren't people allowed to post negative opinions without you quoting them and giving sarcastic/'funny' comments to them??

The Saturdays are definitely failing. They don't sell albums. They sell the odd single, though their highest selling single only sold 340,000 copies...

They are a band in decline, each album selling worse than the next. When Chasing Lights was hardly a MASSIVE success they can barely afford to be losing sales.

Chasing Lights went platinum, Wordshaker went gold, Headlines! was top 3 and sold over 200,000.

so On Your Radar hasnt sold that much yet, but All Fired Up was their biggest first week sales of a single, and Notorious went top 5 on the "on air on sale" thing that seemed big last year, with little promo. plus they barely promoted the album with Frankie's illness and the tour rehersals.

in 2011 they had a sold out theatre tour and arena tour all within 12 months.

there is so much life in this band yet

also I hate the way people say "oh they've never had a number one". Big deal. Justin Bieber has never had a number one in UK or US, hasnt done his career any harm

Una tweeted: "Up and ready for to shoot our new video. Bump will be edited out of the video so our director will be working his camera skills magic today! I don't want bump in the video because she will be born when it hits the tv screens so it wouldn't make sense or relevance by then! And I am proud of my bump but ill be even more proud of her when she is out, its not like she's going to be in utero forever!"

Frankie then tweeted: "maybe we should of all had bumps in the video?! Lol we didn't think of that one...."

lol!

It's a new track.

The label tweeted earlier about the single being a smash, saying that even after listening to it 76 times it just get's better. Let's hope it's the single that is FINALLY a smash, and get's the girls the recognition they deserve. There's always been something holding them back, they've got so much potential.

On the up side, I've got a huge feeling that this singles going to come from the OYR re-release, which will also be their first single in America (which would explain all the meetings, and back up the previous rumours).

Im excited but at the same time nervous, everytime we think they have a smash, or anytime they hype up a new single, it always falls kind of flat, so for their sake im hoping its nothing less than amazing, because its really what they need right now.

The Sats bring their label ALOT of money through other means (sponsors, advertisements, tours, private gigs, media coverage) and don't really need to worry about their material flopping as they'll still have another album round the corner anyway.

The new single is out in April, by the way. And they've apparently signed a deal with E! (TV network in America) for a reality series plus have plans to release over there. Throw in Una giving birth, and her and Rochelle's marriages this year I have no doubt this will be a huge year for the girls. The attention will be huge when the weddings approach.

It's going to be an interesting year for them. I think Una's baby is due sometime in March. I didn't know Una was getting married this year as well, I thought it was just Rochelle.

Yeah but to be fair the girls are declining with every album, so say it gets to album 5 and they decline even more, sales get worse.. They're going to stop the advertisements, the tours, the media coverage, and they'll join Girls Cant Catch, Parade etc in girlband heaven.

Just because they have plans to release in America doesn't mean they're going to materialise/do well.

They're not declining with every album. Headlines was their third album yet the second successful. Tours don't stop because of sales either. Chasing Lights and Headlines were moderate successes and both managed to sell a sell out theatre tour each, plus On Your Radar absolutely bombed yet it still gave the girls a healthy profit on an arena tour (even though it didn't sell out). Why would their media coverage stop? Like I said, with Una's birth approaching and her and Rochelle's wedding plus all the stuff about America this year, their media attention will only increase.

Comparing The Sats (3 million records sold, three tours, eleven top ten singles, own buisness, own clothing range, sponsorship deals, media presence, American deal) to Parade (one top ten single, another top 40 single, album missed top 100) and Girls Can't Catch (two top 40 singles, no album) is silly. The Sats are pretty much an established figure with the media and music world in the UK, there's no way they're going to get dropped.
