This is the first record I have heard for a long time that made the hairs on the back of my neck stick up on first hearing. Fantastic feel to the whole thing. Great guitar sound (which has a SIMILAR feel to The Fountains of Salmacis by Genesis from about 1972).
Thanks to Greg James for picking it as his record of the week.
SHOULD be a hit but knowing how the charts are these days, maybe not. Great shame if not.

Given To The Wild is a fantastic album all round, to be honest, but Pelican is easily it's best track. Feel To Follow is goood, but not great - think I would have liked to see Heave given a release.

Looks like I'll have to get the album then I'd actually love to hear a LONGER version of Feel To Follow. It is the sort of song that should have a good old fashioned 12" version.

Shame this thread doesn't get the same amount of attention as the crap about all those artists people on this forum bang on about. I would say who but I don't want to give them the oxygen of publicity. I'm not that keen on them having the oxygen of oxygen but there you go.

Superb album though, really interesting band.

Given To The Wild is probably the best album I've ever heard, for quality and diversity throughout it has a strangely nostalgic sound running through it. I must have listened to it in full atleast 50 times since I got it on release day in January.
My favourite track on it keeps changing and I've never listened to it waiting for a stand-out track as they all are in their own way and it could easily pass for a greatest hits album.
