Where has she been? She has an incredible voice, and just seemed to disappear!

My Mum adored Shania's music.

She has been ill for a few years and she started to get writers block, she is well now and even had a TV show in the US back in the summer connected to her illness.

On all accounts she is starting to write again but dont think there is a date for a new album, she has not mentioned it at all on her official twitter account

With 75 Million albums sold worldwide she is certainly one of those artists where number of albums sold certainly equals quality.

The only album of hers I ever truly liked was the UK release of Come On Over. I love that album and have played it to death.

I'm sorry to hear she's been ill. I was also sorry when she and Mutt Lange split up. They seemed like a good, solid coupl.

Up really is a phenomenally good album. I'm confused also why she just seemed to stop. Taylor seems to have stole her limelight slightly. I'm sure her marriage breakdown was part of the reason. I wasn't too impressed with 'Today Is Your Day' she is missing her firey self. But there's still a market for her mature style of country singing but i do think the fun element should be there her last single was abit ballady.

Maybe something to do with Mutt Lange not be available to come up with the songs for her.

Taylor has not stole any limelight from Shania. They are both fantastic artists in their own right, thankfully there is room for shania and taylor in the country music scene, I for one cant wait for her to start writing music again, country music is a bit low on good quality stuff at present, talyor cant hold the fort on her own forever

Sorry but Shania Twain and Taylor Swift are not Country. Pop /Country maybe.

The correct term your looking for is "new country", new country, old country its all country music.

Your totally right, pop music can be applied to any music that is popular at the time. People get very confused at the term pop music as its not a correct term to describe a genre of music, but we are all guilty of using it in the wrong context, even me

I think we all now what we mean by the term Pop Music.............and it's not Radiohead who have been possibly one of the most popular bands over the last 15 years

she did a single last year, which reached the dizzy heights of #66 on the hot 100. she did that cover of `white christmas` with bublé also last year and now she has opted for another safe collaboration with lionel richie with a new version of `endless love`. still its nice to hear her voice again.

She's got some of the best music I've heard.
