S-Express - The Original Soundtrack
Usually when dance acts do an album it's always a case of singles and a load of average filler.
But one exception to that rule is The Original Soundtrack from S-Express. A long time favourite of mine from the 80's, the album seems a lot better thought out than many other dance one's. It really seems to take you on a journey - the flow of the album is perfect. The singles are obviously classics - Theme From S-Express, Superfly Guy, Hey Music Lover. But all of the non-singles are great too, such as Special and Golden, Can You Feel Me, Pimps Pushers Prostitues, Blow Me Another Lollypop. If you never heard it and fancy a good quality retro dance moment, check it out!! |

one interesting thing about that album i found a few years later was how good and far ahead of time the non single tracks were. that album was bought and played by a lot of people who weren't fully into the dance scene as the singles were quite cross over, but many didn't like the non album tracks, as compared to the poppy singles they weren't exciting, but flicking through some tracks on the decks a while back i was suprised how well it stood up
