Hi everyone,

I'm a long-time supporter of Haworth Cat Rescue which offers a rehoming service for unwanted and stray cats in Yorkshire and Lancashire. HCR covers an area of approx 700 square miles - an area in which there aren't many other cat rescues - and has to raise every penny of its running costs by donations and fundraising, as animal charities don't qualify for lottery or community funding.

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for them to win £5000, and all it takes is votes from cat lovers on a Facebook page.

Please go to the link below, authorise the app (this is so you can only register one vote, and you WON'T get spammed), and then vote for Haworth Cat Rescue. Although they are in the lead at the moment, the competition doesn't close until 4/5 March so there is every chance they could be overtaken. Please share with your friends on Facebook, your colleagues and anyone else you know who likes cats.

Thank you

Why dont you go to the Martin lewis website too. They have a forum for pets. I'm sure you would get a lot of votes from the cat lovers there. Good luck

Uhm I clicked on their intending to vote for the cats, but then I noticed Leicester Animal Aid and I had to vote for them. They do some amazing work and I do believe Leicester Animal Aid is far better than the RSPCA in Leicester.

People should read up on Leicester Animal Aid

they are... It's really good and generous that all four entries will get a cash prize. As I know £1,500 will go along way for Leicester Animal, And i'm sure £5000 will go along way at Haworth Cat Rescue

So sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience. What part of the country are you?

Yes, it's a shame that animal charities are in competition with each other, but good that they all get some cash

I just dropped you a vote. I do hate apps on Facebook, but my love of cats (I'm a slave to four) over-rode that hate.

Actually, my niece wanted me to get a game app on there the other week so I could send her the lives but I said no. Does that mean I love cats more than I love my niece???? Am I turning into a crazy old cat lady????

Good luck.
