Noel Gallagher:

"And if I'm not very much mistaken did I detect the faint whiff of a few wrong 'uns miming? I think I did… You know who you are and you should be ashamed of yourselves. "

I think we all know who he's talking about

Miming is something I'll never understand.

Has Noel Gallagher ever said anything remotely interesting before?

He should've mimed too, he's a poor singer imo.

Indeed there was lots of miming.

I believe the only ones singing totally LIVE, unaided, were Coldplay, Ollie, Blur and Adele.

Ed Sheeran didn't mime either and I don't think Florence did.

Miming has been happening at the Brits since before 1998. Nothing new there. It isn't a big deal either.

Isn't a big deal? I think when you claim your a singer... Then I think it is. Not surprised to hear such a comment from someone who kisses Cheryl Coles backside though

Most of those that mime/use backing tracks and or vocals refer to themselves and are recording artists which is totally different to being a singer.

Some of the biggest stars have mimed from The Beatles to Michael Jackson and Madonna.

And cool to your other comment.

I do prefer live singing, but don't mind miming if there is dancing etc involved.

What would be better is if shows are honest. They should say if an artist/singer is really singing LIVE, unaided or not. What viewers don't like is being conned.

That guy is right. It isn't a big deal.

EVERYONE knows they mime. You and Noel Gallagher think there's not some national uproar because nobody realizes that they're miming, but the truth is, we're all well aware that they're miming, and there's no uproar simply because nobody cares.

That doesn't really bother me either if I am honest, I just care about being entertained and if that means they mime so they can put on a big production, then that is fine by me.

You can always tell if someone is mimimg. Nobody is being conned. They simply do not care.

Isn't that a sad state of affairs, if I may say so? This is the problem with The X Factor generation, in my view.

You are happy with an all singing, all dancing...bells and whistles visual over 'proper', LIVE singing?

I can spot it a mile off...LIVE always sounds very different...and you can hear the breathing etc.

I then have to ask, what is the point if hardly any of them will do it LIVE?

miles, give it a break. the acts from pwl were always miming back in the day and you are a huge fan of them. i know you don't like the x factor, i think everyone is aware of that now.

That is nonsense, you can like all the 'bells and whistles' aswell as appreciate real singing. I am a fan of Leona Lewis, Adele, Emile Sande, Ed Sheeran and Janelle Monae but also like acts like Cheryl etc if they are putting on a big show.
