Buzzing tv

Hi, can any one tell me why my LG 50'' flat screen tv has started making a buzzing noise even when volume is turned off? It seems to be more intense when a particular colour or text is on the screen, very annoying!!

Very odd I used to have a SONY CRT years ago, and when I played a Stakker Humanoid Video even with volume down the set seemed to go mental

Try setting the backlight brightness to maximum and let us know if it makes any difference.

I have a 43" Samsung Plasma that buzzes when there is a lot of white on the screen. Anyone any ideas?

Think that's the nature of plasma technology, my panasonic buzzes a little bit. If it's really loud though might be worth contacting the manufacturer.

There's a LOT of stuff in a Plasma that can cause buzzing, due to the way they work.

It 'may' be as simple as requiring a little glue on a rattling component, but historically manufacturers have quite often produced updated boards to cure the problems.

If you talk to Samsung, there may be a technical bulletin about it?.

I have a series 4 samsung 3D and it makes alot of buzzing noise too

My Panasonic tv started to do this too. It was quite loud at one point then it went away the next day. Now the buzzing has come back but it's quite discrete now. There are occasions when it's slightly louder.

My plasma is fed by a Humax PVR and I have just altered the TV scart output setting from RGB to CVBS and the buzzing has disappeared. No idea why its worked but it has and now I'M buzzing!!!!

Think that's the nature of plasma technology, my panasonic buzzes a little bit. If it's really loud though might be worth contacting the manufacturer.
