Nicky Minaj's new single is a complete rip off
dory353

of Britney's Till The World Ends on the chorus

It also reminds me a lot of Cher Lloyd's Swagger Jagger. Not in a good way.

It rips off Flo Rida, Britney and Katy Perry.

It also sounds like Party Rock Anthem, Dynamite and Good Feeling.

It's a bit annoying, since it seems like Nicki is trying to be Ke$ha on that song.

But Nicki's new song, Roman Reloaded is not generic at all, and is very unique imo.

I find it hilarious that if you took the verses of Katy Perry's Part Of Me and add it to the chorus of Nicki's Starships...you'd basically have a direct rip off of Britney's Till The World Ends.

Part of Me was recorded in Summer 2009, and leaked online before Till The World Ends was even recorded.

dont these irritating "artists" copy each other? I can believe people are into her, amazing. When I heard one of her songs I thought it must be a parody on an idiot pop star doing rap. still am hoping actually

I'm pretty disappointed with what I've heard from Roman Reloaded so far tbh, Starships especially. Don't like it at all.

It was re-recorded and re-produced for this release though. I only began to hear the TTWE comparisons with this newer version... I disagree with Starships sounding like TTWE though... I just can't hear it...

Nicki Minaj isn't bad usually. She's done hundreds of songs, and this is by far one of the most pop-ish songs.

But Starships does sound like a clone of Till the World Ends, and lots of other pop songs.

Part of Me doesn't sound that much like Till the World Ends.

I really don't hear how it copies Till The World Ends...
The start does sound like 'Good Feeling' by Flo Rida though.

I don't hear Till The World Ends in it either.

Wasn't feeling this when I first heard it, but think it's ok now. I hardly play it though, but I'm glad that it's made it to No.7 so far in the charts. Her highest charting song in the UK.

It's really surprising she hasn't had #1's #2's or even #3's especially with Superbass.

What a shame this trash of a song has charted higher than Superbass which was FAR superior.

Yeah I agree, Superbass is a much better song and that should've been No.1 in my opinion. She's got more popular over time so I reckon it would have been No.1 had she released it now (had she had a popular song before).

I know once I get the album and play this more I'll enjoy it, but it's just not instant for me like her other songs. The chorus is in my head though.

I'm curious to see where her album will debut. Definitely Top 10 I think.
