Blackberry Keys problem

Hello, We've had a replacement sent back for a blackberry but not used it, its brand new. I have come to used it today and it loads up, i get a message on the screen saying 'The application color ID is attempting to access phone information' I cannot move anything the scroll pad doesn't move. The screen lights up when i press buttons, the caps lock indicates in top right hand corner when i press it. I just don't understand, no buttons do any function but yet they light up the screen and so on.

I can't update the software it just loads up saying 'initialising new device'

any ideas?

I assume you've tried pulling the battery and restarting it? Failing that you can either try restoring it from Desktop Manager on your PC. Or send it back.

It sounds like you've been sent a refurbished phone that hasn't even been wiped by the supplier from the previous customer, as Color ID is a 3rd party app, so if the phone is 'new' it shouldn't be on there.
