There are a number of girl groups on the scene this year with new groups Stooshe and Little Mix, The Saturdays releasing new stuff again , the Old Sugababes renuinting, possibly the current Sugababes releasing new stuff and we also have the new Pussycat Dolls bringing out new stuff as well sometime in the year and a possible Girls aloud reunion ? how do you think they will all do ?

I think Little Mix will have success but most of that will come through hype, Stooshe could do well with the right promotion, same for The Saturdays, if they can find that right song and promote it right then they could be huge.
Old Sugababes will have hype but eventually flop, new Sugababes could do alright if they get themselves out there more.
PCD will flop, at least Heidi from the Sugababes is on almost all the songs, PCD will be singing songs that not a single one of them were originally on. Girls aloud will not get back together anytime soon, Cheryl is releasing new stuff and has plans to tour, Nicola is also working on a second album.

Little Mix and The Saturdays will do well. I think The Sugababes are over.

Also, I think Girls Aloud will do something to mark their anniversary - maybe a one off concert/ tv show.

I think Little Mix The Saturdays and possibly Stooshe will do well PCD will flop unless they get some really good tracks and radio support them. The Old Sugababes will probably have hype but won't do amazing. The current Sugababes will probably flop as for Girls aloud doubt they are getting back together this year but if they do they will defo do well

I thought The Saturdays last album was gonna be their 'make or break', so their next album has to be.

Siobhán Donaghy tweeted yesterday that she'd just recorded the first single to her upcoming & long awaited third album, so the Sugababes thing isn't happening anytime soon... thank god.

I Don't really give a rats ass about any other current girl groups. Especially any from that horrible karaoke show.

Emeli Sande said in a interview that she has written for the orginal sugababes

the old sugababes wont reunite, the current sugababes will split, stooshie wont go anywere, the new pussycat dolls will bomb horrifically, little mix will have a few singles but wont really be big and the saturdays will just keep underperforming.
IMO

Funny enough, I can see The Saturdays getting a #1 with the new album. Little Minx I think will do alright. The rest? Put a fork in them, they're done.

I don't think girl groups will be big this year. Or at least, not as big as they were like 6 years ago.

It seems like there's a lot coming up, but usually the case is a lot of these don't end up happening in the end.

The whole thing is confusing me. Siobhan has implied several times on her twitter page she is recording solo material and even confirmed it to a fan.

So I wonder if Emeli was misquoted then?

Maybe, Emeli meant for the original Sugabases, as in like she wrote songs for them 10 years ago? Although Emeli would've been really young then, so I doubt that lol.

Really? I still can't believe On Your Radar flopped and it was actually quite a good album. It would be nice to see them get No 1 with the next album but I can't see it happening somehow

saturdays last album flopped and the last few singles haven't done that well can't see them lasting much longer if their record company can't be bothered to promote them.
I like stooshe and think they could do well depending on promotion they are different little mix will do well.
I think sugababes will split soon with amelle doing solo stuff & heidi too I think might be doing a solo album.
They seem to be hanging on by a thread they are still a good group but their best days are behind them.

The Saturdays have a huge year ahead of them. Una is giving birth next month, Rochelle is supposed to be getting married in the summer, Una is also engaged, they have an American reality TV series starting on E! plus another album.

I can see Little Mix being HUGE, too.

There always seems to be a crop of girlbands that come out the start of the year but nothing ever comes of them. I love girlbands, not sure why I seem to be alone a lot of the time in that opinion.

I think Little Mix are most likely to do well and I'm really looking forward to their music. Stooshe may well be quite successful but are more likely to flop.

I think PCD will have one hit single and a reasonably successful album but won't do as well as the previous line-up. The Saturdays will underperform yet again.

I can't picture getting new music from either Sugababes or Girls Aloud this year. Solo Sugababes music, yes and perhaps a show to celebrate GA's 10 year anniversary but music I doubt it.

I wonder if Sugababes 4.0 will record again. If Sugababes 1.1 are doing something I wish they would just confirm!

I was listening to some of Fanfair's songs the other day. The Vaccine is my favourite.
