Heroes grabbed me by the throat when it started.

Touch sort of feebly pawed at me for an hour. I hope there's more to it each week than a series of links and coincidences otherwise that trick will get old quickly.

I lost interest when the singer girl had to explain that Dublin was in Ireland.

You can tell it is from the same guy as Heroes can't you. Overbearing music and the whole interconnected-across-the-globe thing.

Kiefer is not great in this either. Reminds me he never was a great actor. Maybe he played Jack Bauer too long but his downtrodded dad act felt false. Was constantly expecting him to punch someone.

Do you know everywhere in the US *(or France, or Germany?) If so, good for you. Not everyone's as smart as you. Not everyone will know that Dublin is in Ireland. (Yes, they probably should, but that's not the point.)

And if that's all it takes for you to "lose interest" in what might otherwise be quite a good show, then that says more about you than it does about anyone else.

Oohh, shirty.
If people need to be told that Dublin is in Ireland then they probably don't know where Ireland is anyway.

I quite liked the part of the story with Keifer and his kid, but I found the bit with the travelling phone to be annoying.

Do people really pass phones around like that, or would they just wipe it and stick it on eBay?

Why didn't the chubby guy in Dublin (that's in Ireland) just stick the video in YouTube himself instead of some random person across the world?

Did the guy with the pictures get them back? And did he get them off the jumbotron operators or the kid in Iraq? Did he actually get his phone back? If so how did that happen before he got home the next day?

The kid in Iraq, it was nice he got the oven, but him and his family will probably be murdered by the terrorists as an example for not going through with the bombing. They weren't the sort of people to take back their bomb and shrug their shoulders I thought.

I do tend to well up with emotional scenes, but the guy with the photos didn't really do it for me, it was pretty obvious what was going to happen. I realised his daughter was dead pretty early, then the Japanese girl said she'd get everything put on the screen and then he was off to Tokyo.

I would have preferred if the show had concentrated more on Keifers story as the phone plot just felt like padding to me. I'm gonna watch a few more, but if that's the format that the show is going to follow, I can't really see me sticking with it.

Just watched the first episode and enjoyed it.

Sure it's not exactly top quality stuff (definitely no patch on the first Heroes), but I got into it as it went along and enjoyed the reveals.

Looking forward to the next episode.

Yes, the phone story was daft...And was the oven really worth the price they will have to pay?

I watched this last week and quickly concluded that it was nothing but contrived nonesense.

The whole thing about a phone getting 'passed around' the planet effectively as a marketing tool is totally unrealistic. Have these people never heard of YouTube?

Jack Bauer is still, sorry, Keither Sutherland is still whispering and breathing his words out in that annoying manner that had me having to mess with the sound through every episode of 24. I'm not doing that again.

Sorry, but this garbage has lost me as a viewer after its first episode.

Oh gosh yes!!!!!!

I thought I was being silly but that is exactly how I felt about him!!

He was cool in 'The Lost Boys' and I'll always love him for that, but 24 was his natural area. So much anger!!!! He was good in Flatliners until the resolution where to be fair it all got a bit artsy and rubbish. Vanished, I was expecting him to go all Bruce Willis.

Apart from Monster V Aliens (which I have mixed feelings about) everything else he's done is a big bag of pants.

He would have been FABULOUS in the Die Hard Movies though - as good if not better than Bruce Willis.

Is he too old to find an equally iconocal action hero? I do really like him and hope he does well, but Touch is pants.

It is with a heavy heart I write this - I hate critcising shows but this is missing something. This is Quantum Leap and Touched By An Angel and Skippy mixed together - badly. I wanted this to be something that delved into the mysteries of the universe and wondered how it would be done.

The only thing that made sense was when Jack Bauer committed increasingly strange acts of violence.

The ginger-haired woman was pretty though.

Unusual for Sky 1 to pick up bollocks like this and miss out on champagne quality like Homeland. They probably only bought it because it's got Jack Bauer in it.

Have to say it's losing me too but not exactly the same reasons. It's not a bad premise, it's just that it doesn't seem to go anywhere except "connection of the week". I know these things sometimes have to "find their feet" as it were, but this one's just not grabbing me yet.

I'm enjoying it. I'm watching at US pace. The latest episode did feel a little less connected than the first one, but still good. I hope it improves and it starts to become like the film "knowing" where you got some big disasters etc.

Got to say I agree with the above. Like dthe first week but this week, bit flat And the number of ads!! Never watching it "live" again. I wear I saw more the Hairy Bikers during the ads than action in " touch"

Liked the dog though, and Keifer did hit someone this week

The second episode was a bit boring in parts but still fairly watchable, very touchy feely one. The security passcode for the boarding school door being 5296 threw me, I guess Jake had to get out to do whatever he had to do.

oh and about last nights Ep, i loved 1st ep and was expecting more last night, its not that i didnt enjoy it, more so it doesnt seem to have any structure at the moment, but im prepared to give it time, its still a great show and im pretty sure it will come into its own and everything will fall into place and some point.
but its already got a second season so plenty of time for it to pick up pace!

SO predictable. Towards the end you just new the dog would appear. Obviously the baseball ground, the hospital and the bridge were close together

Ironically out of all the shows premiered this season with a supernatural/sci-fi link, this seems to be the one that will get renewed

I'm enjoying it, despite the excessive schmaltz. The only thing i really, really dislike about it is the incessant background music, not only is it crap music, but it's in almost every scene, whether it needed to be or not (just like the music in Heroes...). I liked seeing Mike Novic from 24 though!

Yes, I thought when I was watching this week's episode it was just like Quantum Leap, with Sam asking, "Why haven't I leapt yet?" and wondering what he was supposed to do. It's a mismash of Quantum Leap, Touched by an Angel, and Heroes, in the scenes around the globe in different languages. However, I liked how the Japanese girls showed up again but had nothing to do with this week's plot. I guess they are going to be a running thread throughout the series. That would strengthen the show, to see more characters develop week after week besides Jake his father and the social worker.

The redhaired lady reminded me of Joan in Mad Men.

I am enjoying it and I will stick with it. BUT, that kid really annoys me. I know he is autistic ... but its the way he ignores his Dad constantly. I feel myself getting really annoyed with him.

Thats why Im not a parent.
