Yes, easy job. Doesn't have to be the same make. I've swapped a few around between Wharfedale, Sharp & Digihome recorders.
The ide drives were different makes & size (usually Hitachi or Western Digital).
The easiest way is just to undo the four screws from underneath the unit.
