Tbh i'm a big george michael fan but with Wham it's more or less just the singles and some of them are a bit ropey

Wham! always had one more album in them. I always thought the end was a little abrupt with the fourth side of The Final obviously part of what should have been their third album.

But I loved loved loved Make It Big. Credit Card Baby should have been a single - sounds like a no. 1 to me.

George Michael was and is such a wonderful and underrated songwriter.

Yeah, a 1986 album would've been a better ending than The Final - America had the EP Music From The Edge Of Heaven (some say it's a 3rd album...it's not)

"The Edge of Heaven"
"Battlestations"
"I'm Your Man"
"Where Did Your Heart Go?"

A good start for a 3rd album - plus A Different Corner could have been added a la Careless Whisper on Make It Big

george was particularly embarrassed by the early material and i have to agree it was pretty weak. the later singles was far stronger, but they never made a credible album in my opinion.

Really? A Ray Of Sunshine is my favourite Wham song! I had the album for my 9th birthday....I can clearly remember receiving it from my Grandad in his front room...memories!!

I think Nothing Looks The Same In The Light is a cracking tune.

In my opinion Listen Without Prejudice is better than any of the Wham albums though.

Star People is my least fave. LOVE Older though.

You Know That Want To is a wasted b-side - album track worthy....if not single

it's clear by the second album that george wanted to launch his solo career, with 1 of the tracks from the album credited to him as a solo artist when released as a single, and then a different corner being released as a seperate solo single before the official end of wham, but after the announced their split

the edge of heaven EP only really had 3 "new" tracks on it, which was basically 2 singles and a b side. the rest was just stuff that had been previously released in one way or another, with a b side from club tropicana, both sides of the last christmas single, with the was (not was) cover, georges second solo single, and a remix of their first single. so altogether a bit of a hodge podge of stuff, and far from being anything like a third album, especially at the time when most fans already had most of it. i dunno why they put the live version of blue from china instead of the studio version

they could have stuck soulboy and golden soul on the cd version of make it big. maybe one day they will do deluxe editions with those tracks included and the b sides and all the single version of wham rap included (there's a few versions with different lyrics), and other 12"s etc
