You are just a boy!
Those two sentences were an attempt to convey what I felt looking at her. Take a moment and go back and look at her during the AOTY presentation. If you can't see a sad bittersweet moment (ie poignant) then you just aren't looking closely enough. Or maybe you need a few more years on you to notice it. And her schtick has been passed on by the general public (Her little monsters aren't included in the general public). This is all my opinion, btw, as a fan who saw her during the Fame.

And I'm sure she has felt the slip and will reinvent herself again to stay relevant. I hope she strips things back to the music. Cause if she goes further to outlandish, she will erode her fan base further.
Is this post okay? Too much drama for you guys still?

personally i dont think was ever seen as cool, different... i like her music and it makes me feel good and gives me inspiration. when you reach the top people will want to drag you down! born this way is overall in terms of actual songs and lyrics by far a better piece of art than the fame or fame monster... maybe it was just abit too early to release it in her career.

I haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but...

Hasn't Gaga just gone away for a bit?

I don't at all think it's something where everybody's gotten sick of her and she's just drifted away. Some may not remember it, but there was a time when artists released an album and then took a step back for a while before releasing new material. A lot of modern pop music is disposable which is why acts like Rihanna, JLS and The Saturdays are omnipresent and repeatedly thrust at us with new tracks. Gaga was everywhere during the BTW promo and now seems to be on holiday or something like that.

It's certainly not a comment on her entire career. Gawd.

i don't think so. `marry the night` was released in november and she`s now embarking on a tour. along with rumours of another album being worked on. i wouldn't consider that a break.

Lady Gaga was/is an absolute master-stroke of marketing by Sony. In 2006-2007 she was your average slightly chubby plain looking American high-school girl (there are videos of this on YT). And in the space of 2-3 years they completely surgically re-done her face and also gave her this ''Born this way'' gimmick and it has worked magnificently. I have absolutely no interest or respect for the person playing the character of Lady Gaga but the creators (Sony) I must applaud them for this master-stroke.

I think you'll find it was Sony who were the driving force behind her marketing campaign.
