I am a bit concerned I ordered tickets through Ticketmaster but could not print them off due to "technical problems"

I have checked again and it now says:

If you purchased tickets for Madonna at Hyde Park on 17th July 2012 or Murrayfield on 21st July 2012, at the promoter’s request, TicketFast® tickets for this event are not yet available to print at this time. This is due to the finalisation of ticket layout for the event. Please keep checking back for updates and we shall attempt to contact all customers once tickets are available for printing.

what is meant by "ticket layout". I will still get the seats i agreed to when I bought the ticket?

It sounds like they're deciding which picture of Madonna to put on the ticket!

The seat you bought and everything will remain the same!

The thing is I bought with TicketFast, so will not actually be getting a ticket.

Doh

Mine says that too but don't worry about it. They sent me an email saying it was because the stage setup hadn't been finalised

Yeah, but when I've bought a 'Ticketfast' ticket, it's had a picture of the artist! You're still getting a ticket that is souvenier-like!

Whether you get a physical ticket or a print out from your computer the seats will be allocated to you no matter what

Excellent!!

I have another question for you if I may

Do you need to take your credit card as ID with the printed tickets?

Don't really see what that would have to do with anything. Unless they're saying the seat you bought might not be the one you get.

Me neither as its a standing ticket but it does say in an email it's not available to print because the layout is still being finalised. As for needing ID, I doubt you do as the ticket has a barcode to say you bought it and it's all kosher

I used to love Madonna and saw her twice back in the 80s, but what she is asking for tickets now is a disgrace, not only that but you have to print your own ticket as well, talk about a rip off.

There's an option to print the tickets or have them posted

I purchased tickets on Feb 13th. When will I likely get them? I have asked for them to be posted.

She is asking the same as other artists of her popularity, in some cases less. Plus it's her promotors who are asking for the money, not her.

Glad i am not the only one who got that message, was a bit puzzling.

You could get a ticket for 50 quid. I did not think that was bad.

I think you get them quite close to the date, maybe a few weeks before

OK Thanks. Why does it take so long considering they take your money immediately?

Not sure. Maybe to minimise the risk of you selling them on for silly money but I'm not sure. I'm sure the Sticky and Sweet tix didn't come until a week or two before

Don't worry. I can't print mine yet either.

There is no real reason, it's just the way it is.

it's to make it harder to counterfeit tickets, and to make it harder to resell tickets to try and put off touts who buy tickets just to sell on at a profit

Counterfeiting maybe, but reselling no. Look on Ebay and see whether not having physical tickets stops resale.

it doesn't stop it, but it makes it harder. try standing on the street and selling a concert ticket you don't yet have. try putting tickets you don't yet have on sale in a brick and morter store to sell

Street touting is now a tiny percentage of total touting.

I just had a look at my order details and it says type: Gold, Row: GA3, Seat:475, when I bought it I bought a gold circle ticket and it's supposed to be standing , bit odd, and yeah mine isn't ready for printing either, this is the first time I have used TicketFast
