Help,...how can I watch X Factor?

My Television's just bust.
Dead as a Dodo.

I can't buy a new TV until next week.

So is there any way to watch X Factor on the internet or something tommorrow?

Mind you, I wouldn't mind anyone helping me to find out if it's possible to watch any TV on the internet in some way for the next few days.

Is something like this possible?
I just wouldn't know, as I've never needed to find out.

Your wish has come true, Alrightmate........you won`t have to watch G4 after all.

I haven't heard of any way to watch the shows live over the internet. You can probably download them the day after using bit-torrant or mIRC.

In your shoes if I really wanted to see something on tv, I would probably go and visit someone, or ask to borrow a portable/tv card from a friend. Failing that, I would simply get all the updates from here and watch a repeat later in the week once I had managed to get my mitts on a tv.

I just had a quick search and the only tv streaming I could find was this:

http://wwitv.com/portal.htm

It has various stations from around the world, though how up to date it is, I have no idea. The UK channels only seem to have news, parliment and shopping on them by the looks of it.

If I hear anything about UK entertaiment shows, I will get back to you.

Thank you,

Thanks Mirage, I'll check out that link. A news feed is good.
It's not always practical for me to just casually saunter into someone's house whenever I fancy watching a bit of telly , so something like a news channel being on in the background is good enough for me.

Thank you for that kind offer. I would like to watch last night's X Factor.

How would you get it to me though?
You don't have to go to the bother of actually posting it to me through the mail, but I really appreciate your willingness if that's what you intended to do, it would be very kind of you.
But I don't want anyone to go to that much trouble, thank you so much anyway.

Is there a way you can post it over the web?

I guess I could do as Mirage suggests, and try to get it from bit torrent, but they can be big files and I'm not sure I have the disk space or not. I'll see if I can make some.

Thank you for the help and suggestions, it's appreciated.

Go to your local Currys/Comet and tell them you are interested in a hooge plasma screen (time this for about ten minutes before X Factor starts). Get them to put the channel on and ask about the personal headphones that you can use with the tv, ask if you can test them out, plug in the headphones (this way the assistant won't be able to interrupt you), and there you go.

If the assistant taps you on the shoulder just take out one ear piece and tell him you are testing all the volume/base/treble adjustments and can he come back in a while. If he is persistant, ask to see another make/model of tv to compare the audio and start again with the headphones. If you can get a friend to come in towards the end of the programme and ask your assistant for help, you can then take out the headphones and leg it.
