well rihanna has been going solo since she got started. she's been going at it for 7 years and already has a catalogue of hits of 21 top 10 hits with 11 of them going no.1. 9 of them are her own and 2 of them are as featured artist. as for her top 10's 17 of them are her own and 4 are as featured artist. but however, she's been releasing albums each year so maybe that's how she's been getting so many hits as of late.

meanwhile, beyonce hasn't been a solo artist that long maybe like 9-10 years now but she's been going at this for 15 years now. she was with destiny's child and that's how her name became famous. she had 4 top 10 solo hits with one collaboration she did with jay-z which equals 5 hits with her name being credited. she had 9 top 10's with destiny's child by the time her 7th year came along. altogether its 14 top 10's. she had 4 no.1's with dc and 2 no.1's solo.

now in her career altogether she has 24 top 10's and 9 of them going no.1. with 14 of them solo (did 2 duets with lady gaga and jay-z) with 5 of them going no.1 and 10 with dc with 4 going no.1.

When Rihanna releases an album every year and a single every two months it's not hard to rack them up. Beyonce in the other hand takes her time.

I think Rihanna is becoming a legend in her own right! I've always loved Rihanna but I didn't think she was ever capable of winning legendary status but she really is on her way!

As for Beyonce, its about quality not quantity! I appreciate that Beyonce like's to take her time in order for her creative juices to flow and therefore make the best album's for her fans!

2 projects, which I bet is the tour, and a new album for 2013. She'd have to work very very quickly to get a new album out by the end of 2012.

Adele's 21 is already nearly 2 million ahead of any other album of 2012 so far! So she has got a good lead already. She is just under 2 million albums away from having the best selling album by an artist in UK history.

I think it's a shame that it didn't sell as well as other albums. But to say Katy Perry sold just over 2m copies of Teenage Dream with 5 #1's, and so far after 8 months, Beyonce's sold 1.1m copies with no top 10 US hits, it's brilliant!

I don't see Rihanna as a future legend. She's just been striking while the iron is hot and releasing album after album after album. The test would be if she went away for a year or two and made a comeback. Would she be so successful? I'd bet not. The likes of Beyonce can do that. Rihanna has probably had the better singles but she will never be anywhere near Beyonce in terms of talent and performing.

Yes, Rihanna is very much like Britney. She would be easily successful if she disappeared for 2 years. She's very very well known. It's not like people could forget her. She can't continue doing what she is now, as its getting into overload mode. And if she keeps it up, her next album would sell even less than TTT.
