Alex comes across slightly patronizing in my opinion. --- This can be misinterpreted as 'arrogant' though, which I don't think she is.

The fact is this: she released a record which not many have bought because in my opinion it's not very good and many of her fans just won't accept this.

Thats not fair to say, music is subjective, everyone has different preferences.

There are a couple of 'Nerr nerr! She's flopped!' threads. You get this with the forums - same thing happened to Madonna when her album didn't do well. But there are (or were, I think some have been merged) lots of threads about Alex all saying the same thing.
