Hopefully she will understand now how dangerous it can be. She seemed to think it was hilarious last week that she wasn't concerned about doing the headbanger, as if it was something to be proud of.

I don't want her to become all over-anxious, but a bit more respect for what she's doing isn't a bad thing.

The move itself doesn't look to be a new, or especially hard one. She may have been doing it as part of a trickier and more tightly packed routine than most, but it is the sort of thing that has been done before with no incident. In fact, Kerry Katona was describing doing something similar on This Morning, so I don't think the problem is with the actual move.

Chloe Madeley did it with Michael last year during Rock Week

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lz1Ao...feature=fvwrel

from the pics it looks like this routine may be being rehashed for Jorgie and Matt .. Matt's even wearing a similar outfit to Michael and it looks like Jorgie's may be similar to Chloe's
Bex.

She gets away with a lot because she can do all the tricks and her routines make her look better than she really is. Jorgie is clearly the best skater of the women.

Specially for Pip!

By miles .. infact it depends week on week but her and matthew are equal .. neither is better than the other .. it just depends on the week! I would say she is joint best skater in the show this year... and none of the girls come close at all !

Poor Matt... his injury looked far worse than Jennifer's the other day... good job it wasn't an inch across either way or it may have been his eye!

The DOI Facebook page is stating that you can view extra bonus pictures of Matt's accident online now... it's sick. This sort of thing is threatening to ruin a good family entertainment show - did we actually need to see hospital footage?

I actually found it pretty refreshing that Jorgie wasn't attention seeking about the headbanger like every other female who attempts it does. She was enjoying the experience, and as she got it right, it is something to be proud of.

Good for her for not trying to get sympathy out of something that is pretty much optional.

Goodness knows! I wouldn't judge Matt too harshly on it, but the way that DOI seems to be revolving around injuries and arguments is getting out of hand IMO.

They've always had a fascination with injurys, they think it hypes the show.

I remember a year or 2 ago, not the same scale injury, but Kieron Richardson had a fall and really hurt his lip, they must of shown the fall about 3 times, aswell as zooming in on when he bashed his head, showing him at the hospital, and highlighting his lip! They also had a separate video on the website!

It's not about trying to get sympathy. Why would anyone get sympathy for doing the headbanger? It's a scary move, but ultimately not a particularly skillful one on behalf of the female celebs.

Her lack of fear was a concern to Matt, Chris and Jayne, and I think this week it showed that it wasn't down to bravery, but not fully appreciating the dangers. It shouldn't have taken an accident for her to take it seriously.

Well she might have been gung ho about the headbanger last week but that didn't stop her chasing the sympathy vote last night.

I'm quite glad that DS posters are feeling this, because it seems to me that DOI is becoming like motor racing - the audience are just waiting for the accidents to happen. It's all slightly pornographic.

I agree about the pictures being sick, and it made me feel sick too. I think there should have been a warning about this before the show. They went too far last night IMO!

Its also a family show and children will be watching so at the very least maybe there should be a warning for parents and those who are squeemish can then choose to watch or not.

I agree 100%. I'm not that squeamish but this isn't my idea of entertainment - it wouldn't be quite so bad on a drama but this is real life. It's a shame if people end up switching off a skating show because they don't like the sight of blood!

Accidents happen, and in a show that involves strenuous physical activity they are all the more likely to happen - especially when sharp implements are involved. Actually, I am surprised that there have been so few. Don't forget that the celebrities are not experienced skaters. Those who are still in all have some aptitude for skating and have been taught well by their partners and coaches, but they are not experts. Compare what they do in their routines with what the pros do in the opening number. They, of course, know exactly what they are doing.

On another tack, I have read several posts recently pointing out that Jorgie and Jennifer have survived on their dancing ability rather than their skating. I disagree. I don't think you can separate the two. Torvill and Dean's Olympic gold was for Ice Dance, which is nothing like as formal as figure skating. The show is based on that.
