Will Rihanna Suffer The Same Fate As Whitney?
I've been sensing this for a long time. Now she's back with Chris Brown, I can sense the second coming of Bobby and Whitney - abusive.
I can also see herself getting into hard drugs, like Whitney, which she will never recover from, it just seems to be going that way right now, unless she takes a break from the limelight.

I don't think so. Jay Z most certainly would step in. She's a full grown woman, but all this situation is publicity, nothing dangerous. Her and CB didn't have to even be on the same side of the planet to record Birthday cake.

I had this thought yesterday, I honestly do think that she will end up in bad situations later in life.

I hope not. But you can never fortell any artists's future.

I'd like to think that this is the case but I don't think she ever really got over him.

I think she does have the potential to go off the rails, unfortunately.
Wouldn't be surprised if she, now and/or in the future, suffered from drug addiction and work exhaustion. Having a destructive relationship won't help, especially if the public/media criticise her for it because that'll provide an "us vs. the world" mentality which can spiral dangerously. Plus, Rihanna's "f*ck da haterz" attitude will prevent her paying much attention to Jay Z/whoever trying to advise/stop her. |

I think Rihanna may be the only person that won't. She has so many people looking after her even now.

The Bobby Brown thing is overplayed. Whitney was a "bad girl" who did drugs and booze before she even met Brown. It's just that her habits became even worse, because she hooked up with a guy who was on the same path as her.
Anyway, Whitney was Whitney because of her voice. The drugs, smoking etc destroyed her voice. That's what took her down. Rihanna isn't known for her singing ability. Controversy only helps her sell records and stay relevant, because she's not doing it through sheer talent. She's not got enough talent to lose, so drugs won't hurt her in the sense that they did hurt Whitney. So unless Chris Brown chucks her off a balcony, I can't see how it'll hurt her career. I'd argue that the first incident where Brown beat her, gave her an extra few years of relevance and "credibility" that she mighr not have sustained otherwise |

She seems to have a huge work ethic. I think she's taking advantage whilst the success is all there, etc. It will be intersting to see what will happen when she becomes less popular.

I certainly hope not, but she seriously needs to chill out a bit- I admire her work ethic but it can't be healthy on the mind constantly churning out album after album, tour after tour. She needs to relax a bit more often, poor love!

He beat her up and she has been riding the wave of publicity ever since. It's started to die down since WFL was a massive hit but anything since hasn't really taken off, including her album. What better thing to do than to get back with him for a bit of publicity and then she can get beaten up again and get a sell-out world tour out of it? She's a marketing genius, really, and all she has to do is come off as weak and raunchy with zero self respect.

She definitely needs a break. All this Chris Brown duetting situation has just proven that she isn't a label puppet, she went against Def Jam wishes and recorded BC with them and it's getting released now.

I don't think Whitney was a bad girl - Bobby Brown turned her that way when she met him.

No I think they deserve each other. Rihanna is a big girl and she knows what she is doing. Chris Brown is probably not as bad as some think.
