How amazing is she?? I adore Born To Die. Its my favourite record for years. Her voice, her image, her look. She has me transfixed. Was so happy she won the Brit award.

If only she were more like Paloma Faith, and actually had a pulse.

Lovely voice, lovely face though.

I've always felt that Paloma over-played the crazy chick card..I prefer Lana's laid back personality.

True but from what I've experienced, Paloma is much better at live performances. TBH, Paloma is one of the few people that I think is as good (if not better) live than she is on record.

Don't know much about Paloma so I'm assuming that awful duet with CeeLo at ast year's brits was akin to Lana's SNL moment?

Lana is my favourite new artist (with The Civil Wars coming a very close second!). Loved her from the first moment I heard the extraordinary Video Games. Her album imo is as good as the US music critics think it's bad so that means it's superb!

And Lana interracts with her fans like no other artist I've ever followed.

I like the fact she is a bit of an oddball. Its natural to her imho and it makes her music even better as you can really feel her lyrics.

Hmm... Nah, Paloma isn't really that crazy if you discount what she wore in the 'Upside Down' video (dear God... flashbacks). She's mischievous, hell yeah, and she has that devilish grin but at least she seems happy when she's singing. She achieves the lost-in-the-world-of-today-when-I-should've-been-born-in-the-1920's theatricality to far better extents than Lana, who just seems to think she can do with a blasé accent and some strings.

Paloma Faith has a range of up and down-tempo music, and borrows from an authentic collection of musical influences. Lana Del Rey, possessing singing abilities that could sedate a steroid-fuelled bull at the Matador, sounds incredibly bored a lot of time, and her music tries to awkwardly squeeze in some twisted R&B scope and it doesn't work a lot of the time.

That said, both are excellent, in moderation. If only you could get Lana singing Paloma's songs...? Can you imagine the sheer awesomeness?

This! I feel Lana's personality feeds into her music and lyrics.

I honestly think Lana will go down as one of the greats. I just hope that rumour of her never recording another album is untrue. If she goes the way of Lauryn Hill it would be a total waste of talent.

I like her as an artist and think she's talented but her album was a bit of let down for me.

I am actually in love with her

Plus i am attracted to artists who are slightly odd. I am eager to see how career pans out in the near future.

i like paloma, a lot actually, some of album is great. however, she completely tanked with that performance. she made gwyneth paltrow`s performance at the grammys two days earlier impressive in comparison.

I'm so pleased how the album is selling as well, especially in Europe (the US are a bit sniffy about her at the moment mostly imo due to the SNL debacle but she's proved in 2 subsequent live US TV performances that that really was a one-off and I'm sure she will win them over eventually). According to mediatraffic the album has sold almost 700k worldwide in 3 weeks.Great result.

Lana has a natural awkwardness to her which makes her all the more cute and endearing IMO.
Anyway, she is a fabulous talent and welcome arrival to the music scene. I have listened to her songs every day since the album was released and no way am I getting bored. Her songs just have a timeless quality to them.

As for Paloma, I really like her too and love her debut album. I don't see the need to compare them. They are both fabulous

I think she's pretty good. Liked Video Games, liked Born To Die. Those two songs alone haven't convinced me to buy her album yet though. I need to hear a track I really love from her then I'll buy it.I'm looking forward to the third single, hopefully it will be enough to convince me to buy the album!
