Sky Go: Can it be streamed to TV via computer?

Now I know that if I shove a cable up my iPad then connect it to me telly, the Sky Go app won't work because Sky have disabled this functionality.

So if I attempt the same with a netbook, will it work? And if so, what cable do I need? USB HDMI?

Cheers.

Do iPads have a video out or do you have to buy a crazy priced adaptor to fit into the docking socket?

You have to buy an HDMI adaptor (just like you do with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, which also only has a proprietary dock connector ).

£35 from Apple.

Some Apps support wireless video to the TV via an Apple TV2 using their AirPlay system.
