Has to be better than last year's.

Unless you are under 14.

Seems a pretty decent line-up to me. The video worked OK for me.

Worst line up yet. I can't see how that compares to Rihanna and Eminem?

It depends who you're actually comparing to Rihanna and Eminem?

Top 4 last year was Eminem, Arctic Monkeys, Rihanna & Plan B

I think this years is stronger overall.

Eminem and Rihanna are certainly more popular than those artists, but their fanbases don't generally go and watch concerts much, because they're very young and/or don't have much money.

people can say its shit and its amazing..but it comes down to your taste in music....THIS YEARS LINE UP is not my taste at all so im staying away, last year was amazing and id rather have that memory than going again this year and not enjoyin it....anyways I fly to IBIZA on 24th august so I wont be down about it

The Stone Roses and The Killers, I mean they should of at least put two different people, Meaning if they were gonna put the stone roses or The Killers headlining one day then have a different act not rock on it.

I was gonna go but CBA now.

It's true, but all they care about is money, and the truth is, rock bands get them the most money, as they draw the largest audience.

I'd also rather see artists like Eminem and Rihanna in concert though. Last year was just a one off I guess (and they probably got a lower attendance there than usual I'd imagine).

I'm definitely going, but I'm off to Ibiza on the 21st August so I did debate about not doing V as I'll only have a day to recover before I fly to Ibiza. You only live once though!!

I'd rather hear The Stone Roses than Rihanna walk around stage with a backing track to be honest... I can listen to that at home.

It sold out last year.

Eminem is one of the biggest artists in the world though and he cost them $2,000,000 to sign up, the Stone Roses were probably the big money signing this year.

Exactly. Rihanna and her songs are by far more popular, but her fanbase aren't as inclined to go to watch her touring.

That's probably why it seems like 95% of the general public (judging by Facebook atm) are whining about how it's not as good as last year, but in reality, most of those complaining wouldn't have gone anyway.

Yeah, Eminem is arguably infact THE biggest artist during my lifetime (not to mention one of my favourite artists personally). But whilst more people might listen to his music, the truth is, he attracts less people to live shows than the average rock band. That's not a bad thing, but people shouldn't be surprised they're not getting pop stars to headline every year. Last year was an exception I guess. They probably didn't have any big rock artists able to do it.

Wouldn't go and see most of that lot if they were in my back garden.

I got tickets for Sunday so will see The Killers. I've seen Snow Patrol twice in the last 6 months. Hopefully the day splits will be announced soon but needless to say I much prefer this line up to last years.

I think the organisers want to go back to the traditional V Festival feel, more Rock/Indie acts than Pop.

At the moment I know Madness, stranglers and Tom Jones confrmed for Sunday in Chelmsford alongside killers and snow patrol. Ting tings and Ed Sheeran Chelmsford on Saturday. I'm delighted so many are moaning about the line up, maybe it'll keep the piss throwers away.
