I think Sugarland are great.

I like about half of their music. I find that Jennifer's voice can be too harsh and strident for my taste.

Although I'm not sure how 'county' they officially count as, being from Sweden, as, but I'm developing a real liking for First Aid Kit, country with a tinge of folk I'd say.

Sherly Crow was meant to be releasing a country record, not sure if it's out yet.

Lady A get quite a bit of airplay on FYI. Also, BBC Radio 2 do play quite a bit of country music and can be a good source for discovering new artists.

The album is call supernatural, and the name of the band is The Raphaels, I would recommend you listen to the album, although done by a scottish rock star, it has a country music feeling to it

Also, maybe shamefully, I quite like the album by Scotty McCreery (the most recent American Idol winnner, who has quite a good country voice, he could become the male Carrie when he matures a bit more as he's only about 18)
