Can't understand why Andy is still there TBH.

Sam improved week by week, Andy has remained pretty much the same. Safe routines.

yes sam is better but Andy is only getting by because all the corrie fans are voting for him

Sam was far better. Not to mention far more gracious. I dont know where Andys head is tbh he dances like a thunderbird.

A hell of a lot more likable as well!

I'm actually quite sad. Sam was lovely, wanted to learn, seemed to take criticism on and was a good skater.

For once I really don't understand the great British public. Andy is horrible.

Andy really gets up my nose - he is like Craig [ex Corrie] in SCD a couple of years ago - he cannot see that he is worse than the others and will not accept criticism.

He is a poor actor and that routine required personality

Yes, can see the likeness there.
I'm saddened by Sam going, he seemed nice.
And, I noticed watching his 'best bits' hasn't he lost a lot of weight. He's been training for the London Marathon as well as doing DOI.
What a nice man, shame we're left with an arrogant man now.

Sam has more grace, more speed, and hes a humble guy. Im floored that hes gone.

Pretty ironic that Andy's routine got basically marked down because of the lack of emotion, which is a part of acting, which is his profession..not that playing Kirk would be a particularly taxing emotional role.

I do hope Katarina gives Andy a good wallop if he's rude to her again Sad that Panda Sam is gone

Andy does have a high opinion of his skating and performance ability. I actually think he's quite robotic and I always wince when he lifts his partner - I don't feel he's safe.

he is just like Craig except Craig was way more deluded than Andy

Poor Sam - I am sad to see him leave, there are worse skaters than him left in the competition sadly

I thought Sam was so much better than Andy and was sad to see him go. He was a little breath of fresh air unlike Andy wo comes across as arrogant and deluded.

I'm kinda sad that Sam has gone, about to watch him on This Morning. Hes a lovely young man.

Sam's lovely, I'm quite taken with him. Plus, he was a much better skater than Andy, as everyone else is saying.

DOI won't be quite the same now without Sam's sweet smiling face.

One more of the gutted signing on to say 'bye Sam, well done, you're lovely, thanks for being fab'

I suppose it was inevitable - after Sam had been in one skate-off we could be sure his popular support wasn't all that and being in the bottom half of the leaderboard against Chemmy the super-survivor, and the mighty Corrie vote, was only ever going to mean one outcome.

On the plus side, I really loved that routine and I don't know how much better marks Sam actually could have got without doing bigger lifts to gain technical difficulty, so it's nice he went out on a high.

This does make me worry just slightly that there'll be a scenario where Andy's Corrie vote carries him into the final at the expense of at least one far better skater. But it's never, ever happened before (see Coleen, Johnson etc), so why would it happen this time around? *crosses fingers*

I couldn't agree more with the general tone of this thread. Andy is doing himself no favours with his back-chat. Although he manages the moves competently enough, his posture on the ice is poor, quite round-shouldered, and I think the judges are right when they say he doesn't emote correctly. He clowns well, but that is not appropriate on all occasions. I found him quite unconvincing last night and was astonished that he didn't finish in the bottom two. There again, I don't watch soaps.

Lets hope this doesnt turn into a Chris Parker repeat. He got through to the final on SCD, but at least he was funny something Andy cant claim.

I have taken a risk and posted on the Planet Ice Milton Keynes Facebook and asked them to stop voting for their professional Vicky Ogden. It isnt about her and surely they can see how hopeless he is as a skater as well as his objectionable personality. I would think she would be relieved to have him voted off. If they stop voting for the professional it just might help get him into the skate off

I'm with you here. Andy's got a bad attitude, and he lacks the light touch needed for back-chat. He's a poorer skater than Sam, as witnessed by his poorer score. He clearly knows that because he's SOOOO popular with the chattering classes, he'll get by anyway, but I'll raise my glass when he's finally voted off.

Really sorry to see Sam go. What a nice young man and so dignified and gracious.
