Sam much better than Andy.

I liked Sam and agree he was better than Andy but Andy's fans want to see him again and they put their money where their mouth is.

Get over it Andy haters - voting at the lower end of the scoreboard is no more than a popularity contest. No one tied the hands of Sam's supporters behind their backs to stop them from voting.

It's always about popularity - and I doubt people know who Sam is unless they watch kids tv.

It's never about ability.

Andy is very poor - but in his mind he's as good as the other male skaters. No Andy you're not because you're not doing any lifts hardly.

Of course he's done lifts. Not the most challeninging like those of Matt and Chico but it's ridiculous to say he's hardly done any.

Nothing so just back and wait.

His time to go will come but why spoil his enjoyment with the poisonous vitriol spilling onto the forums and all over the internet.

I totally agree, Sam is way better then Andy. I was screaming at the telly when Andy went through and Sam got voted off. Such a shame for Sam to go.

I'm gutted that Sam has gone. Louis made a good point when he said he actually has the best arm lines of all the male celebs. That skate off performance was truly beautiful and one of the cleanest skates of the night. I wanted Chico to stay and Chico is the better skater but it was ridiculous that either of them was there. It should have been Andy and Jen in the skate off with Andy leaving the competition.

Me too, he really did a stunning performance last night and how much has he improved? I preferred Andy to him at first but am so disappointed with that petulant attitude and Sam soon won me over. I too wanted Chico to stay and it was a travesty that either of them were in the skate off.

I should be resigned to stupid results by now on these things but really am f-ing annoyed bluntly that Sam's gone, what a little star he was, the most improved by far, and came across such a nice enthusiastic bloke. He was the one I enjoyed watching most after Jorgie and I hoped he'd make it to the semis at least. Grrr.

Unfortunately the nature of these shows means that worse skaters/dancers/singers etc remain in the competition over the better one's due to the "popularity/existing fanbae" vote

For me it wouldn't be so bad if Andy wasn't coming across as someone with a higher opinion of his abilities than what he actually can do and his attitude/manner doesn't come across well ... he seems to have taken over from Corey in that sense ...

I'm disappointed to see Sam leave as he was one of the most improved skaters on the show and his basic skating was above a number of those left

I know I am gutted that Sam has gone. Saw him on this morning he was showing off his bruises I dont think Holly new where to put her face I think she was hoping Rupert Penny Jones would do the same. I would like him to go on tour.

That's the thing I don't like about him. I wouldn't mind if he couldn't skate, but he really doesn't come across very nice. He also always has a go at Katherina, but not at Robin or Louie (despite the fact there were similar marks this week), which makes me think that his attitude towards women isn't the best. However, this is conjuncture on my part.

Likewise gutted that Sam went on Sunday, he so didn't deserve to and should have been in the top 4 at least.

Having said that, Andy is on the DOI 2012 tour and Sam isn't. So the powers that be may want him to progress a bit further as it's good for the tour. That's the only logical reason I can think about for it.
Thank you

Sam much better than Andy

Not in the eyes of the public he wasn't.

He was bottom of the leaderboard so I don't see what more the 'powers that be' could have done to put him in the skate off.

Fact is he has a bigger fan base than most of the others, though I think he's on borrowed time from now on.

This thread makes me realise just what a money spinning trick ITV are missing out on. Instead of just having a phone number to call to vote for a contestant, they should have an alternate one to call to vote against them. Contestants would then be ranked on their net number of votes.

Personally I never vote as it seems highly improbable that my one vote could tip anything and would therefore be a waste of time and money. Being able to vote to get whining Andy off however would be tempting.
