I was just going to mention that one. Also OP have a look at parody songs such as "Weird Al" Yankovic's parodies. A lot of them aren't about love.

Kate Bush- Heads We're Dancing, which is about how she dances with a man one night and the next day she realises that man was Hitler.

As someone has already said Ms Bush has a plethora of non-love orientated songs.
