It's clear to me in the UK, it won't sell well.

brilliant. is that in your capacity as a photographer? Or just a general mobile market expert?

you had raised some legitimate concerns, which i and others have attempted to address. you ignore all of that and pull your pants down.

Looks pretty good, the sensor is 2.5 times bigger than the N8s apparently - http://www.engadget.com/2012/02/29/v...review-sensor/

Ofcoarse for me the rest of the hardware seems a little dated, maybe we will see this sensor in another phone.

you will. symbian has been a sort of R&D platform for nokia. currently WP does not allow them the access to operate the camera how they would like. but it will.

We'll see won't we.

I'd do exactally what this article suggests rather than buy this phone..

Plus I'm yet to see any actual low light shots, using a high ISO or flash.
The sunset image does not count, as it is a fast shutter speed, low iso shot.

This sensor in another model with say 2012 specs.. Would be great until then I'm seeing this as a showcase of that sensor for PR purposes, Nokia must know themselves this isn't going to be as popular as the Lumia range by far. If they do feel this will sell like hot cakes then that's half the problem with our dear Nokia big wigs.

Nice selection of materials being used, should make a good product to hold.

Nokia PureView Q&A with Damian Dinning – Nokia Conversations : the official Nokia blog

Q. Is the phone made out of polycarbonate?

A.*Yes, but with a ceramic-like finish. Other materials used include stainless steel for the buttons and switches and camera bezel and Gorilla glass for lens protection and for the display.

the images are good. as is the way for nokia they don't do much post processing. the iPhone for example will post process with vibrancy an all sorts.

if you run them through some post they look even better. i prefer the nokia way though.
