With word going around that a biopic might happen for the late Whitney houston, i couldn't help but wonder, what other artists would you love to see a film on?

I really would like one on Dusty Springfield. She is a British Icon and she had a very private life away from the Music that would be really great to capture, especially her sexuality which was always up for discussion back in the day. It has been in the planning stages since 2004 with Nicole Kidman and Kristin Chenoweth even in line to play her. But there is still no word.

It'd probably be at least another 10/15 years before there is a biopic on Britney, but I'd certainly love to see one.

I don't have to be objective, right?

Aaliyah! I was 5 years old when she passed away and she only started to become an independent grown woman a couple of years before her death, so there are a lot of sides of her personality that her interviews ( the few that are still on YouTube) didn't showcase

I'm fascinated by Madonna's early years and pre-fame life.

Actually, her whole life behind closed doors fascinates me.

There's going to be one, google it! Although it was announced in 2009/08 and not much is known about it, and from a recent interview with Keisha Chante, the actress who is going to play her, said that Aaliyah's family aren't sure about it.

With all due respect, PLEASE! I'm the guy that posted the news about Keshia Chante talking about the movie and Aaliyah's family! I know all I need to know about the movie. Hope they get the green light soon

No worries Anyway, I think they're going to make the film eventually. She still has a lot of fans who are waiting for this biopic, so I'm optimistic. I would like the family to condone it, though. Only they can control the outcome and make sure it represents Aaliyah properly.

Sister rosetta tharpe
A gospel singer, born 1915 who played the guitar like a bluesman and the electric guitar like a rock and roller.

When her mother left her father, they moved to Chicago where she learned to play the blues and jazz.

She was married 3 times, the first was not good from the start.
She had an alleged affair with Marie Knight, with whom she toured the gospel circuit with.

When she married her manager in1951 she had 25,000 paying guests (where was Hello mag')

In 1964 she toured Europe with a blues and gospel caravan with among others Muddy Waters.
When she died in1973 she was buried in an unmarked grave in Philadelphia.
Why is this not a film ?

The story of how the Spice Girls came about is pretty fascinating.

-Five girls initially being put together, living together in a house.
-They then come realise when they are together... its something special, the five right girls at the right time.
-Geri persuading the others to flee the original management in the middle of the night with all the demo tapes.
-Road trip in Geri's Fiat Uno to find songwriters and managers on their own.
-Meeting the mysterious Svengali Spice Simon Fuller.
-Storming record company offices, persuading people to work with them.
-Then of course going on to conquer the world in a way not seen by a British act since The Beatles....and then implode almost as quickly.
-The Egos, the backstabbing, the walkouts.

I call Lindsay Lohan to play Geri.

Just me then.

I personally think she'd pull it off as she's a great actress. I've always thought that Juliette Lewis would have been a great choice to play Janis since she's got the right sort of look about her and she can sing. I don't even know if it's still going ahead as it's not listed on Amy Adams' IMDB page and it was in 2010 that it was first reported. Various Janis biopics have been planned since the 1970s and none have ever materialised for various reasons.

Well there was the Bette Midler one named The Rose which was inspired and based on certain event in Janis's life. I thought it was rubbish personally.

I really like that film. Bette should have won the Oscar for it.
