Just wondering if anyone can help.

Is there a way to recover photos on a HTC Sensation?

do you mean accidentally deleted or from a lost phone ?

It wont help now but for info both Dropbox and Google+ (and probably more) now allow automatic syncing of photos to the cloud.

Lost, as i was uploading a couple of pictures to my pc, safely removed it, so i could a couple of more pictures. That's when i discovered all but 35 pictures are gone.

Have you double checked they arent just in another folder ?

(i dont want that to sound condescending - we have all done it)

What you have done doesnt sound like it should have deleted anything .....

No you don't sound condescending at all. I have checked but they are no where on my phone (at least not where i can see them, my wallpaper is a picture of my son, but that picture is not in any of my albums)

do you have a file explorer installed ?

if not download something like ES File Explorer (its free).

Photos taken on your phone would normally be on your sdcard in a subfolder called DCIM (sometimes this might have several subfolders itself like Camera or 100Andro). Check these subfolders as ES File Explorer should be able to show you thumbnails of the files. Hopefully it might just be a glitch with your gallery app.

I have checked the DCIM folder and in my Thumbnails folder, there are some pictures there but not all.

Edit: Just to add, i now can't access my phone via my computer

trying to think back to that version on android ......

Drag the notification bar down ans you should have an option to mount the storage when connected via USB?

Wonder if your sdcard didn't unmount successfully.... .. have you tried rebooting your phone?

I've still never seen photos disappear .......

Can you think of anything that makes the ones lost different from those still there?

Me either, some of the photos are ones that were already on the phone. Others are screen captured due to a glitch in my software. And the others i have no idea why they are still there! (except for the last 3, because i took them just before i discovered my problem).

Edit: Ok, i've just looked through my thumbnails and by the looks of it (if i've remembered correctly) my pics have showed up in the folder. I've been into it twice and a couple of pictures have appeared in there!
