I like how Roxy is being, its kinda like having this little selfless attitude around Alfie...... yeah she loves him, but also accepts where she stands with him and him/Kat

I do believe love is about selflessness

Yeah, I had a look at that yesterday! As soon as I opened the photo, the phrase "future iconic pairing" just sprung to mind. I hope Kat and Alfie don't reunite in the future (which I think they might do) as Roxy's just the person he needs. She loves him for who he is, and with the right writing and time invested, Roxy and Alfie could be living on the square in years to come... even with zimmerframes and false teeth. Hope Rita and Shane stick around.

You should tweet that to the pic, future iconic couple - atleast they know - we love the idea of Alfie/Roxy

It kinda wont surprise me if they have Kat/Alfie together....... but to be its dead, and i hate when they keep bringign an certain couple back together again and again, its so tainted

Thats the thing Alfie is different to the other men and it needs to be (- and why wouldnt any woman fall in love with Alfie, he is a one of the best men out there and Roxy knows that), thats the plus point and why it works and Roxy finding someone who she is totally herself with, where she is her real best, no matter how she looks, how she cries, and talks about anything and everything, its also one of the reasons why their friendship works as well........ coz we have seen them being fun and having laugh to being seriousm and having a real chat and emotional

Couldnt agree more. Kat and Alfie were great first time round... he was her man in the moon but with Roxy, they both bring warmth and love out of one another and it's such a sweet dynamic. I'm glad their friendship has been a slow burner and eventually escalated into deep feelings towards one another as it's benefitted both of their characters.

As well as Samantha Womack, Rita Simons' has had the best chemistry with Shane Richie.

I think the plus point was having Alfie and Roxy behind the bar...... that is what has got them even more noticed and it worked so well

I know this is an appreciation thread so not the best place to post this but I wasn't sure where would be the most appropriate place to do so.
I don’t want Alfie and Roxy together as a couple. I like them being friends but I hope it doesn’t move on to being a sexual relationship.
I want EE to have a friendship of people of opposite sex that is just that. And also I think Alfie will drag Roxy down. He is nice maybe but he is also very boring character and quite irritating at times so really I want Roxy to remain just a friend nothing more.

Its about time Alfie took a good look at his marriage and where he stands, and what he wants, coz to me this has and i hope it is, the last straw of Kat-Alfie giving it a go and for Alfie to realise its not working, stop pushing for it to work, Kat just doesnt give a damn coz she is isnt 100% there, and cheating on you every single time

I am so glad we got Alfie-Roxy references this episode, two things stood out to me in what Roxy said, and this was perceptive of Roxy

1) Does Kat really love Alfie
2) Have you seen the way she talks to him

And this is exactly the questions and comments we say about Kat and them, the way Kat talks to him, and love him

I can totally understand the prick Roxy felt inside when Alfie said he is having a romantic night with Kat, obviously Roxy is gonna feel a prick inside and try to push it away, even when Tracey said something etc

I do have to agree that i did like the Michael-Roxy scenes (but i would NEVER want them romantically together) and Michael teasing her and so on..... Rita played the blushing and bashful emotions well

Judging by how Roxy has been around Alfie-Kat and asked the questions she asked about them tonight, i wonder if Roxy will find out what exactly has been happening with them, and what Kat has done and what Alfie is doing still with Kat after everything

I hope so - judging by Lorraine Newman interview few weeks back

But Alfie is too wrapped up into Kat, but hopefully this will stop and move on....... coz Alflie needs to move on from Kat.....

Must admit, the Roxy and Alfie storyline is the only one still keeping me interested in the show. I hope this storyline gives Rita a chance to shine as she's a brilliant actress.

If Kat and Alfie eventually reunite and Roxy is left alone, I'll be furious with the writers after the amount of time we've invested in Roxy/Alfie; still have a horrible feeling it'll happen though.

I also have that feeling it will happen......

Its like once Kat moves away from Alfie and had anyone interested in her, we find out Alfie isnt over her and then they get back together....

Alfie-Roxy can be such a great couple together, they both have balance with each other and so on, but the fear will always remain that they will reunite Alfie-Kat

It was nice to see Roxy trying to get Alfie to calm down, and tread carefully and be there for him.....

They're such a feel good couple, which is why I'm slightly disappointed at the lack of Roxy/Alfie interaction during this storyline.

I've always liked Roxy but I feel she's at her best at the moment. Rita's playing a much softer and compassionate Roxy and just bounces off Shane Richie's Alfie so well. They're a family-orientated pairing and I just really hope the producers invest in them as the spark between them is too good to waste.
