Arcoflam
Some years ago I bought a Arcoflam cooking dish, it can be used on the hob or in the oven. It's a shallow dish like a frying pan shape, it is white and has a clear lid, also a detachable handle. I love using it and would like to get one for my daughter but can't find one anywhere. I got mine from the original factory shop. I wondered if anyone reading this knows where they sell them.

Found this with some info and links
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_arcofla...still_produced http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CORNING-WA...item3cc2bfb633 Alternatively you could get a cast iron enamel white pan with a glass lid like those available from Le Creuset |

Thanks, yes, le creuset is always an option but this one was only about £20 and it's not so heavy to use.

You just remind me I have some of these I bought years ago in Matalan of all places. I think they were made in America, I might be wrong.
Gosh I have so much in my kitchen cupboards I forget it - but I must have it 'in case' of what I don't know. I'm getting better since we fitted a bespoke kitchen a year ago - I say that as I wanted certain cupboards to fit certain gadgets etc. but I still buy stuff and forget to use it. I keep it 'for best' too - I'm 53 for hecks sake - some of the knives are guaranteed to last longer than me! I must dig those dishes out. |
