Thanks for the sales updates you surely are the king of stats!

Not bad figures again for Adele even though me are starting to bemoan the end of the era

doesn't that make 21 exactly 50k behind Thriller?

i never wanted to become sales obsessed but this one is one i find i'm interested in, the day she passes MJ and then Oasis will be a good day for music in the UK

it can slip quietly away after that for all i care

Providing Thriller sold zero this week, then yes.

You're welcome. And it's just something I like doing - I like statistics etc. Although I'm blushing incredibly at being called a King. Thanks.

If the day she passed 'Bad' is anything to go by, the day she passes Thriller will be a WILD day on 't'internet. Not a good idea for the faint hearted Adele fans to be online that day .

Oh I dunno. I love to do some gloating watching angry stans of other artists can be fun!!

Seriously though people should be happy its a British artist breaking all these records. Usually its the Americans.

I see that is only a 3% decline week on week which means sales are holding up really well. All other albums in the top 10 which are not new releases have far higher declines.

Does anyone know how influential the Billboard awards are? I know not on same scale as Grammies but do multi award winners (fingers crossed for Adele - like she needs it) historically see sale increases. Kind of obsessed with 21 reaching diamond status and one last big push would help.

Carrie Underwood, who won two Billboard Music Awards last week, inches up 13-10 with "Some Hearts" (Arista Nashville) on a 50% sales boost to 126,000.

Most of the performers from the event see increases for their albums that are larger than the 27.8% uptick of the overall market. Fergie's "The Dutchess" is up 62% at No. 19 while Nickelback (No. 21, up 42%), the Fray (No. 33, up 52%) and Mary J. Blige (No. 134, up 95%) also see gains. Even winners that accepted their trophies on the show but didn't perform also saw some spikes, including the soundtrack of "High School Musical" (No. 27, up 33%), Nelly Furtado (No. 49, up 64%), Chris Brown (No. 98, up 39%), Three Days Grace (No. 106, up 44%) and Kenny Chesney (Nos. 118 and 121, both up more than 30%).

I searched ' "Billboard Awards" sales increase ' on google and found that, so it's pretty much certain it will increase but not sure if people have managed a better increase in the past!

Higher than I thought for 21! Just looking at a thread on Buzzjack about '21'... forum members there thought that 21 would've fallen out of the top ten on the first week of April!! And some forum members say they think 21 will last the rest of the year in the top ten!

I really loved the morgana show, this doesn't look as good but she does do quite a good impression of Adele haha.

Hilarious!
I still think sh!t Adele says is really funny. Even with the parts where I was like,"oh hell no they didn't!"

This is the closest we're gonna get to the real thing! Lol.
