Jeez. I just LOVE it. And again, she's just like, hanging out, enjoying her life, and the music is just speaking for itself.

You go girl.

Get your crash helmets ready cause Adele's gonna have the biggest solo album in UK charts history by her birthday! Nice present! And the press will play this up so hopefully it helps sales.

Her 24th birthday is Saturday. And the numbers are very, very close.

Thriller is near 4.273 million. 21 is at 4.264, so around 9k separating. Woop woop!

Total as in.. she's almost sold 23 million? She'll get to 23 by the end of May if that's the case.

Those figures are actual sales to end users (OK, they are not official) so the actual shipped figure (the amount sent out to retailers by the record company and the figure every album in the Top Selling list uses) will be considerably more, probably a million more in reality given the still huge weekly sales worldwide. Imo Music Charts is the most accurate when it comes to '21' sales if you look at XL's end of 2011 worldwide shipped figure so the shipped figure may be closing in on 24 million now!

Jeez! i'll take your word for it, you seem to have a better grasp of the charts than I do. I just read what you guys say

Of course, shipped does not equal sold, so it's kind of moot at the moment, right?

There is no official worldwide sale organisation hence the recod company's 'shipped' figures are always used for official figures. For instance, Diamond in the US is granted on 10 million shipped copies (i.e. the amount of albums sent out of the record company's door). Usher's Confessions was the last album in the US to be granted Diamond status. It was released in 2004 and achieved Diamond status in 2008 but STILL hasn't sold 10 million copies to end users!

So according to some tweeter (Source is UKMIX) theres a guy who is filming Adele today. It's her last video for 21, and it's not what we expect.

Not sure if that means it's going to be crazy video, or that it's not RHI. Either way, any new Adele Video is fine by me!

Prepare for internet meltdown

Adele overtakes sales of Thriller in UK album list

Adele's second album 21 has overtaken Michael Jackson's Thriller in the list of best-selling UK albums.

It has sold 4,274,300 copies in the UK, 500 more than Jackson's 1982 classic.

Figures show 21 has been selling an average of 20,000 copies per week over the last four weeks.

"To add to her many landmark records, Adele's achievement in overtaking Thriller in the all-time sales list is truly remarkable," said Martin Talbot from the Official Charts Company.

"Thriller has long been recognised as one of the most iconic albums of all-time.

"There is now no doubt that 21 can be spoken of in the same breath."

So, 21 is now the biggest selling solo album in UK history!! Who would've thought it! Well, apart from Koney because he's an octopus.

It also gives us sales info... if 21 has sold 4,274,300 copies in the UK so far, if you take off last week's total (4,264,000), it means she's already sold 10k so far? Unless my predictions are wrong?

Phenomenal achievement for Adele. I see a lot of the Michael Jackson fans going crazy on the internet already over this. It really it a sad day when people can't just celebrate both artists and their musical achievements and the fact that both are so different yet both very good.

Congrats Adele
