Back to our favorite girl. For five long months all we had to talk about was chart analysis and records because Adele herself wasn't around. Now we continue to post chart details because we are watching history in the making. It's astounding what is happening right now for 21 and Adele. So of course we will post and celebrate these numbers. And remember this isn't Gaga or Rihanna or Katy who are on every possible show and promo they can book. Adele popped back out for two weeks and then disappeared again.

Besides what else would we talk about? Her haunted house? Her upcoming wedding? Her "mystery man" discovered? All f*ing, made up shit listed without a source.

I can't find the full length video of the "Smash" version of Rumour has it, but I've just caught up on the show that was shown in US last monday, the ratings were 6.7 million so might be why we saw an itunes increase to like #24 over there.
About 15/20 minutes into the show, they played first verse with Adeles voice. Then for finale, they played first verse & chorus with Adele singing, then the main star sang the breakdown and the final chorus but a lot differently.
Was very good though, I can't find a version on youtube to share with you guys though.

If that's how bad I was in part one, then I dread to think what my other numbers will be!!!!

And I love how Shades is at the top of the list. That was before she came out as a stan as well.

Edit: Just seen on HDD that 21's total now is 7.9 million, with 2.1 million this year alone!

Sounds crazy but she has a chance of beating her 2011 US figure in 2012! With shipments surely running at up to 1 million more than sales in the US (no retailer would want to be short on stock of this album, would they??) 9x platinum can only be just round the corner. The scary thing is she won't even need the Olympics exposure to go Diamond in the US! Unbelievbale times for Adele....


PS her current YTD US total is only 300k less than the 2nd best selling album sold last year! It's the 7th of March FGS!!

PPS This makes next week very interesting. Can '21' keep 'Wrecking Ball' from the #1 spot?

I think Adele will be 200k+ again. The Springsteen album is a new studio one, so maybe do more.
Anyway, Adeles sales figures are getting past the point of superlatives!. We shall have to invent a new word.

Wonder what the one day totals are?! This would shock me, if 21 tops this coming week. Although how anything 21 does can be shocking at this point is beyond me.

Whilst we should never get surprised by anything this album does, if it were to outsell The Boss's opening week on its 55th week, then that would still make me go

As per the legend that is Norfolk Scot on UKMix, if the HDD prediction is correct, by next week 21's 2012 sales will have surpassed Born This Way's total 2011 sales.

Ah, now you see, I believe, or should I say, hopeful, that 21 will keep The Boss off. 215-225k was her prediction last week, but she sold 244k. She seems to pass every prediction that HDD sets. Obviously, it depends on how well Bruce sells as well.
