This is opinion on AN ADELE APPRECIATION SITE. I didn't post a new thread saying 1 Direction sucks balls (someone else did that). Adele stans have a bad name? Are you talking about the slight tussle with one batsh!t crazy TS fan here on Digital Spy? Cause that's about the highlight of the Adele stan wars. Pretty much the whole world loves Adele which makes for limited skirmishes.

Edit: And I don't begrudge other artists' success. In fact I support other artists by buying their music (f*ing not 1 direction! Although my young daughter bought their sh!tty first single. Which I have heard over and over. It really does suck balls!). And I see a bunch of artists in concert every month.

5.8 million total in 2011? I can't see her NOT beating that this year TBH. That total up there is only 150k off the total for the second best selling US album of 2011. Top five of soundscan era is over 12 million Koney. Now that is bold! Cause 21 will have had to have sold over 6.2 million in the US during 2012 to enter that list. So 4 million to go. 41 weeks to go? Close to 100k a week to get there.

She needs promo to get this, imo.

I know. I'm banking on the Olympics at least. If that happens, I'm going at least 6.7m in 2012 for a 12.5m total. Bold but like you say this is '21' and Adele. there were some on UKMix who were of the opinion that '21' would never go Diamond ever let alone in 2012 like I said. They've gone quiet now i know the figures have been skewed by The Grammys but that is now over a month away and she still hit nearly 200k last week. And this is only the middle of March - lots of traditionally big selling months still to come yet.

That's surprising me also. The fact that she is still selling so many copies a month later. Like it's expected now by everybody. There was a time when she got "down" to 70k in one week.

could someone on here who also posts on Adele.tv do summat about the policy of overlong threads that encompass all related stuff, for example 'all news and articles'

for those of us who like to drop by n & t it's hard to know whre we left off. Is there a rule for not starting new threads for trivial stuff - cos i don't like it
