I'm sure we all have those artists that we just dislike!

Personally I think Nicki Minaj and Britney Spears are the worst, their music has absolutely nothing to it.

I disagree about Britney, she is an icon, but whatever, one example comes to mind.

LMFAO!

Nicki Minaj is absolutely horrible and Katy Perry isn't far behind. "Teenage Dream" may be the worst song ever.

I think the ultra-generic songs like:

Jason Derulo - Don't Wanna go Home
Pitbull - Rain Over Me
Lady Gaga - Judas
Taio Cruz - Troublemaker
Chris Brown - Turn Up the Music

and so on.

Anyone who's hired hands that talks about being an artist or developing. Or says they're going to surprise people, or do something a bit different and does exactly the same as before. Excessive PR.
I don't like being lied to or thinking i'm trying to be fooled into liking someone.

Rihanna.

As with any point in time, since they tried to take themselves/pass themselves off as a bit serious...all boybands.

Anything which uses autotune and deliberately makes it noticeable.

Britney has some good songs and some absolutely awful ones. "Everytime" is my favourite".

I don't think music/artists I dislike equate to being "worst examples of modern music"...

But, I would say that the Dr. Luke formula of re-packaging the same song a few times over, then doing it with another, represents how lazy/manufactured/generic it can get.

just characterless hit-by-numbers dance music that doesn't sound like a real person is singing it, that Elephant by Alexandra Burke comes to mind

Releasing album after album in quick succession, because they're too scared the public will forget about them. Rihanna is a classic example, we never get a break from her. What happened to people going away and thoughtfully creating new music, with an ounce of quality control? You see a lot with mainstream music, Katy Perry is another example of someone forever releasing singles. I guess they think pop fans are more fickle.

Yeah and then those fans will shout it from the rooftops how amazing said artist is and you end up thinking that the song would sound the same if they'd given it to any old pop star.

Don't even get me started on that. I'd bang that kind of thing on the list as well.

Agreed. I prefer my dance with a bit of heart and soul. You won't find that with his music.

I avoid Beiber and Gaga like the plague. I've managed to not hearing ANY Beiber songs (honest!) and nothing after Gaga's 'Bored This Way'. I dislike the woman intensely.

Listen to some of his older tracks, basically anything before When Love Takes Over.

Just A Little More Love and Love Don't Let Me Go spring to mind. Also this Everytime We Touch

I've heard his earlier stuff, Love Don't Let Me Go was everywhere. I just don't like it.

I've never heard one of his songs either in full. I'm proud of it.
