I cannot see Arsenal qualifying from the group, they are in an awful predictiment, that home defeat to Dortmund, means that they really have to win the games in Germany and Italy, which I just honestly cannot see them doing.
On another note, I read that Sky Sports are scheduled to broadcast the World Cup Play Off second leg between Sweden and Portugal. Great news, hopefully the other games will also feature somewhere.

I am looking forward to that Juve v Napoli match, as it could go either way.
Both sides are still very much in the title picture, so a win for eitheir could really help them out in that regard.
Great race emerging for the Pichichi in La Liga with Ronaldo and Diego Costa tied on 13 goals. Messi lagging behind on 8 but we all know what they say about form and class. He'll doubtless catch up at some point.
Will be interesting if Costa makes it into the Spain World Cup squad after declaring his intention to represent them. A Brazilian firing Spain to World Cup glory in Brazil would be a story!

Athletico have somewhat gone under the radar I would say this season, whilst people have been rigthly getting excited over Dortmund, Bayern and Barca (with Roma doing very well as well), Ath. Madrid have been playing some excellent football as well.
How Simeone didn't get on the Ballon D'or for managers/head coaches is a mystery really.
This season I can only hope that they continue to push Barca all the way, as they seem to be their only challengers, as Real look far too much off of the pace to catch them.
The key matches will be how Barca do against Ath Madrid, not exaclty the Barca v Madrid that I think many people would have thought would go along way in deciding the title winners!
Shame that I don't think that Ath Madrid v Barca games have a nickname (like El Classico, when the other Madrid is involved), as it could do with one!
As for the top scorer award, I think it will be very close indeed, as for Messi's form, I think that Neymar's arrival has affected how Barca play with them both in the side.
Whereas before it was really all about Messi, and what Messi could do, now there is another outlet for Barca to use (good for them, not so good in terms of Messi's goal tally).
Even thoough Bale has arrived at Real Madrid, Ronaldo is still very much the key man, who makes them tick.
Diego Costa is such a good player to watch as he works so damn hard for the side, so it is good to see him getting his rewards now.
I wouldn't want to try and predict who will end up getting more goals, and writing off Messi is something only a fool would do (and I am no fool!), so I look forward to seeing how this all pans out!

Cerci will have to be watched very carefully by the Inter backline, as he is in some very good form at the moment, if hey can keep him away from the goal, then they will have a good chance of getting the three points.

I still fancy Juve to scoop the Scudetto despite them not looking entirely convincing so far. Winning away in Parma was impressive, and they'll have a good run of fixtures to come if they can beat Napoli.
I'm not sure what quite to make of Inter. Last season Handanovic kept them in games single-handedly, and they were a trainwreck at times. This season, they seem to be doing alright thanks to the form of Palacio, Alvarez and Cambiasso, but I don't see enough quality in their side to win the league. Players like Ranocchia and Jonathan just don't look up to standard to me and always have a mistake in them. I'm keeping an eye out for Icardi though. He looks a right prospect!

yeh dont get me wrong ,i dont think inter can win scudetto really either.
but top 3 is on, so roma,napoli and juve losing points is huge
mazzarri has made inter a machine, they are solid and hard to beat(only 1 loss all season,to roma), they do not attack like napoli used to but that will come,its a work in progress and so far so good.
jonathon has become a cult hero, looked like a sunday league player last year but now is improving with every game.
bats-livorno and torino have similar kits i beleive so its not all bad lol

The odd surprise in week eleven and a few cracking games.
Juve left it late to beat Parma away, Pogba with the goal but most of the credit going to Quagliarella after a super strike that struck the bar, Pogba finished off the rebound. Juventus only losses this season have come in the CL to Madrid and the crazy 4-2 against Fiorentina.
Fiorentina went to Milan and came away with three points with a 0-2 victory, goals from Vargas and Valero. A welcomed clean sheet as Fiorentina come away from a tough set of fixtures with positive results, their last five including Milan, Juve, Napoli and Lazio (two wins and a draw out of the four). More positives too as Gomez should be set to return from injury, possibly against Sampdoria next weekend. Not so positive for Milan though who have managed one win in their last five.
Catania visited Napoli but left with an expected loss as goals from Callejon and Hamsik sealed a 2-1 win. Not a terrible scoreline for Catania but Napoli continue their strong home form.
Livorno got a much needed win at home to Atalanta with an early goal from Paulinho. Carmona saw red midway through the first half and Livorno held out for three important points.
Lazio's average form pretty much continued as they lost at home 0-2 to Genoa in a game they mostly dominated. Goals from Kucka and a Gilardinho penalty both in the second half sealed the win for Genoa to move them up into 8th.
An absolute cracker in Genoa as 10 man Sampdoria lost a thriller 3-4 against Sassoulo. A crazy game which Sassoulo fought to till the final whistle, the winner coming in the 88th minute. Massive victory for them and it draws them level with Sampdoria on 9 points but they still sit in the drop zone due to goal difference. Massive improvement over the last 5-6 games for Sassoulo after an awful start.
Inter travelled to take on Udinese and didn't have a great deal of problems securing three points. Three nil away win with goals from Palacio, Ranocchia and Alvarez. Decent run of fixtures coming up for Inter before they take on Napoli.
Roma are taking the plaudits as the surprise of the season but Verona kept up their brilliant form with a 2-1 win at home to Cagliari. Toni on the scoresheet to bag back to back wins for Verona, their only losses this season coming away to both Juventus and Inter. Early positive signs for Verona as they finish week 11 in 5th level on points with Inter.
Roma travelled to Turin to try to continue their incredible start to the season. Strootman gave them the lead and the run looked like it was going to continue. Cerci levelled to bring his tally to 8, only one behind top scorer Rossi, serious handfall this season. Roma's 100% record goes but they're still undefeated and the were missing both Totti and Gervinho. Garcia said all the right things after the game, Roma still sit at the top of the table as week 11 draws to a close.
Bologna take on Chievo tonight, Bologna just sitting above the relegation zone while Chievo are smack bang at the bottom. Important game for both.

Big games next weekend, the obvious being Juventus/Napoli. Milan travel to bottom of the table Chievo, early in the season but quite a crucial game for them. Roma coming off of their first dropped points in the league while Sassuolo are coming off a fantastic hard fought victory. Should be some crackers here.

does anyone know who supports Atletico Madrid? I mean is it from an area of Madrid or historically/politically a different fan base from Real? I know 2 people from Madrid and both support Real and have no idea why anyone would support anyone else!

With Costa changing nationality to Spanish, and with Negredo and Villa available to select from, will Torres miss out on a World Cup place?
I certainly can see it happening, as his form hasn't been that good to warrent a place I would say.
Spain do seem to go for the players in form so I can see Torres being left behind next year and rightly so.
